    Morning Everyone,

Diouf is apparently heading out of Elland Road. A number of Championship clubs are after the 32 year old, with QPR heading the list. It is thought, by selling him, it will free up wages and will enable McDermott to sign somebody else.

Surely, this is not the way for Leeds Utd to do business.

Ryan Hall surely must be on his way out of Elland Road. Our only winger has not featured at all in pre season games so far. We are supposed to have beaten a host of other clubs to his signature and paid around 350k for his services. We must be able to get 200k for him. Agree?

Leigh Bromby has announced his retirement. The 32 yo sustained a serious knee injury v Cardiff in April 2012 from which he has never recovered. He will stay on at ER to train the u16 squad.

Where do we feel Leeds will finish in the Championship this coming season?

    Morning Elland and everyone joining.

Im more than happy for Diouf to leave, don't really see where he fits in the starting lineup and he is reportedly on around 15k a week wages which is a fair whack for someone who isn't guaranteed a starting place, by his own admission cannot play every game, is getting on in years and also always has a red card in him whenever he gets on the pitch. For me isn't that good anyway, all he ever does is get the ball and hold it until he gets a freekick even if there is a good pass on.

I think Hall still has a place in the squad, we saw glimpses of his potential last season. I do think it was unfortunate the timing of his kid because he really did need to get a good pre-season and work hard and give BMD something to think about but he didn't do that which makes it a lot harder for him now. Remember it was only a few seasons ago that he got the most assists in england, albeit in a lower league but he definitely had the ability to move up.

As for where we will finish, its hard to say in the current moment. It entirely depends on what happens between now and that magical last day of August.

    Morning Josh,

I think Diouf adds stability to the squad and the team. He is great at keeping the ball, and drawing free kicks. I think he has what it takes to turn a game. Name another one of our midfielders that has the same amount of skill as him?

Morning all. I also think selling Diouf would be a mistake. With us playing proper footy now, Diouf is just the player we need to unlock tight defences with a telling pass. Who else in the current squad do we have in midfield that's better at providing great passes? He has the experience, and when he's fully fit, he is arguably our best player.

As for Hall, I'm with Josh. I hope we see him back soon so that BMD can play him in a wide role with instruction to take on defenders, get to the deadball line and pull it back. If he can't manage that, time to say bye bye.

This league just keeps getting harder, as Jamie Mackie signs for forest. You can really see the trees having a right good go this time. As for us, we have to offload players that nobody wants, and the only ones we seem to be able to get rid of are the ones with a chance of being regular first teamers. EHD looks like he's gone, but probably predictable as he wouldn't fit into BMD style. So we should get some cash for him, but the rumour about Ross raises its head again and I can see him gone too.

Hall is obviously shyte and a waste of money. We shelled out a long contract and wages so he needs to get his finger out of his arse and repay us by forcing his way into the team. BMD says a good winger needs to be defensive too, so probably where Hall needs to work on stuff.

This next couple of weeks will see a lot of players moving around, but not many will be from Leeds as most are crap. BMD managed to get Bromby off the wages by getting him to retire and giving him a kids coaching job. If we don't bring anyone else in then we will be struggling for top 10.

Im still hoping for 3 more signings, if this happens then I'll be very happy with the chances. Obviously only if they are quality signings because thats how far off I think we are.

Also everyone keeps looking at other squads and saying we don't compare, well to get out of this league you need to be consistent, that is the main requirement imo. The added quality obviously helps but consistency is the key and im hoping McDermott will be able to add this factor to our team

Morning all. If we sell diouf and McCormack, we will be weaker than last season, regardless of who mcd signs. As for hall, he's trained every day with us for six months now under two different managers. Neither manager willing to let him near the first team, so I'm inclined to think he's another waste of space a la Habibou and gray and the rest of the **** we signed. Talk of top six or top ten finishes far too ambitious at the moment. Just our luck too, forest seem to have got the Saudi owner with money to spend and we got the plotless chancres. Then again, with it being Leeds, it was odds on to work out that way

Diof has strengths but if McD isn't going to play to them he may as well go as he has no pace and can't head the ball. If Diof and McCormack have to go to bring in some quality then so be it as the signings so far haven't been good enough. Currently this is a 12th-15th placed squad.

Is it only me that doesn't want to rely on rich owners, rather good wise spending and wheeling and dealing. Then getting the most out of the squad, ya know how it used to be

In an ideal world, that's the way it should work but thanks mainly to sky, money is now the most important factor

Diouf is a top player to have coming off the bench he won us many games last season through his composure.

Selling him is not the way forward, need to cancel contracts of the ****ers not playing draining the club.

When we signed McDonald from Middlesbro just to get him off their books Boro paid up his last years wages <ok> that was 30k per week 52 weeks <ok>
They then gave him to us FOR FREE <ok>

SO unless you can afford to do that or your players are wanted by other clubs You are stuck with them.....therefore the only players you are likely to lose are your GOOD ones or those who are out of contract <ok>
