N'Zogbia part of everything that is wrong with the Premier League.

On his day a cracking player, but has his day twice a season.

    As for Palacios - phew

I'd be happy with N'Zogbia, he played well under Bruce before but has been poor at Villa. I'm not too fussed about Palacios, he's overweight and injured all the time. I'd much rather have Cattermole in.

N'Zogbia is a very good player, but another who'll be well out of line with our wage budget.

The best bit of that is he tried to correct himself from his first gaff.

As good a signing as he'd be, I can't see it happening; he'd ask for a lot in wages. A loan might be a better option.

I'd be happy enough with that but defo wouldnt touch him with a perm. To be honest i really like the loan approach in the Prem, it's minimal financial risk and unwanted players are putting themselves in the shop window. The worst that can happen is they do brilliant, we stay up and then lose them to someone else. If they're ****e, so what? We've lost 1 year of wages.

    Paper talk.

Doesn't say we are interested. Just we could be.

I used to think he was a good player. I think he wants a nice pay cheque now - pass...

Sunderland echo reporting that Bruce isn't interested in Cattermole

Assuming that is true, then it begs the question why? Bruce clearly rated him as he's signed him twice, we really do need that kind of player and I imagine he'd be cheap in terms of a fee as he's surplus to requirements. So is it:

    a) his wages are too expensive
    b) they had a falling out at Sunlan
    c) he's crocked
    d) Bruce realises he's not as good as he once thought?

I'd imagine it's wages. It could be that he's crocked though, he's hardly played over the last two seasons so maybe he doesn't wanna take the risk. Which is understandable

He is still a good player and personally I would like it if we kept him as one of our cm's.

I find it staggering that teams aren't queuing round the block to sign Jordan Rhodes, he's a goal machine and he's young, 40 FORTY goals in league 1 then another 30 in an horrific Blackburn team last season. No doubt in my mind he'll be prolific at any level.

If theres anyone worth breaking the bank over for a team like us it's him.

Hope we are not after Insomnia. As for Palacios IF we dont get him in August i think that SB will get him in January.
BBC Radio Stoke reporter reckons though that Palacios will go before the end of august. Twt as always.

An £8m fee and £45k a week for a player who's never been tested in the Premier League is the reason there's no queue.
