Redknapp believes 25-year-old Hooper can fire QPR to promotion after the disappointment of last season's relegation from the Premier League. Redknapp said: "It looks like it's on its way to being done. Negotiations have gone well. "He's a finisher. He'll score goals in the Championship; I'm absolutely certain of that. "He's in the last year of his contract, so it's a good deal for everybody. It's good for Celtic to get the kind of money they are getting and hopefully it will be a great deal for QPR. "If he can come here and get 25 goals next season, then we will have a real chance of getting out of the division. I thought we had M'via in the bag last year as well according to Harry. Time to keep it shut.
I really dont think Arry's got a clue. Obviously he didnt lose us Hooper (we did that by not being in the premier league) but he's certainly made us look stupid and clueless.
I think it was when trying to sign some bloke called Mvia. Doing the same thing twice!!! sensible people learn from their cock ups, but not our Arry. Its enough to make you weep.
Do you all think it's a coincidence that the players that he has come out and said 'done deal' have then gone to other teams? It's not because of what he has said, clearly they have known there is heavy interest in the player from other parties, my guess this 'done deal' tactic is a ploy to put off other parties putting in late bids by making it sound like the player has pretty much moved here, it hasn't worked and it does make him look like egg on face time, but it's a good idea to try and bat away other interested parties. Personally I'd prefer Charlie Austin anyway, he would be half the price and wages, is a year younger and has a similar record at this level.
Alternatively we can stop listening! we're all so busy rabidly scouring the Internet for scraps of non news and then holding people to account for every syllable they say! He was asked a question I presume, he answered, said He thought he would sign, at the 11th hour he went elsewhere. **** happens. Everyone, redknapp included will be a bit disappointed. We move on. It hardly makes the club a laughing stock... Unless that's the sort of stuff that has you rolling in the aisles???
