Matt Whichelow and Jake Green are playing tonight for Rovers against Clevedon.

    wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Whichelow

He is 21. 5ft 7in winger. Dont know yet if LW or RW. Has played 21 games for Watford and scored 3 goals for them. 1st goal was within 10 mins of his debut for them. This was from Oct 2010 - Sept 2011. Since Sept 2011 he has had loan spells away from Watford for Exeter (2 games 0 goals), Wycombe (4 games 1 goal) and Accrington (4 games 0 goals). He was released from Watford in Feb 2013. He has been without a club since and according to wiki he has been on trial at Braintree before coming on trial to us!

    Green:

Cant seem to find info on him other than he is a also winger who has been playing for Mansfield and has been released by them. He is apparently the brother of Matt Green (striker) who left Mansfield to join Birmingham. No wiki or pics on him.

Both players playing on the wings tonight.

when he was at Wycombe, he looked very good in his first game but for the next few he just became anonymous really before he was dropped/injured I cant remember which. a player with a decent bit of pace but seemed to have an attitude....he also told the bucks free press he was only at Wycombe to win a place at Watford!!

info from someone on the O/S forum who was at tonights game.....

"Was at the game tonight and was quite encouraged by the game as a whole, but more so the performance of Wichelow on the wing.

Obviously it's difficult to make judgements from a game against Clevedon (no offence), but I thought Wichelow was very good and I would definitely like to see more of him.

He is right footed but played on the left wing for the full match. He didn't stop tracking back and helping out in defence, showed good pace to go past men and put in some great crosses. He also played a cute little ball inside to set up Goddard's goal and in general showed good vision.

As I say, it's hard to make accurate assessments of players from preseason friendlies and especially ones against non-league opposition, but I feel a bit happier about our wing situation after what I saw from Wichelow tonight."

    sounds interesting!

When Matt Whichelow was at Watford, he made his appearances because of the position we were in financially (ergo not being able to sign players). When we began signing players he didn't keep is place in the squad and went out on loan and wasn't a hit anywhere. Apparently he had a bit of an attitude issue but I'm convinced that he's got it in him to pick himself back up.

    nice one chris <ok>

p49 watches the developement games and he has said green is still with us. think p49 said he been playing LB so if we have signed him then maybe we wont see paterson again or maybe browns injury has worsened although he is suppose to be back in contention for the york game!
