Impressed with the whole team today, Colback at left back, good strong job and the way the players hassled Spurs in the 2nd half, i want to see more of Karlsson on the left wing. Maybe Giach could play in Sess's role for 60 mins then bring Sess on in place, and vice versa. 3-4-1-2 against Fulham Altidor and Fletcher up front, Sess or Giach behind them, Johnson, Cabral, Karlson, Gardner in the middle and Brown, Diakite, Colback in defence.
Seemed like Paolo was suprised by that goal - just look at his reaction, one of the commentators said that we had obviously been practising set pieces however Karlsson said afterwards that he hadn't taken many corners before - nice goal though.
He annoyed the **** out of me last August, coming back half fit at the start of a new season He looked very fit and very, very good today. We'd be mad to sell him.
I honestly believe that PDC never wanted to sell Sess in the first place. I think it’s been a masterstroke of intelligence from PDC to basically say to everyone in the squad no one is above the club, you all underperformed and if you don’t pull your finger out you will be off (even the star player Sess is susceptible). Since doing it Sess has scored 5 goals, looks completely shredded and IMO was the best player on the pitch today. I think the message has got through to the team, hence the new found focus and drive. On the note: God took Pele and Messi........
I remember watching Kieron Richardson taking a corner a few seasons back. He managed to miss the ball and kick the corner flag out of the ground
Sess needs good players around him in order to shine. He can't play on his own - who can? Too early to tell, but looking promising. Hope he stays and comes into his own, contributing with goals and assists and not the "wasteful" Sess we've seen in the past. Can't wait for City and another test for the new, improved SAFC!
I do have a look on that Sunderland news & Banter page some times but the people on there are thick as dog ****. I rather check the news on here pal.
I hope you do watch it because with Cabral in the team we will not see your man crush Lee Cattermole in the team again. thank the lord.
Cheers mate, when i looked before at this page http://www1.skysports.com/football/fixtures-results/27-july-2013 it started with Ramsdens cup and no mention so wasn't sure if scheduled, hence the question. What I mean is wasn't just being a lazy bastard like. Thanks for the heads up, loving your comments and the board in general, will try to stalk less and contribute more. In that vein, what with financial fair play and our squad maybe not being 25 senior players at the start of next season, if Di Canio put himself on the books in case of a striker shortage and came off the bench with 5 mins to go, could he do a job?
PDC, reckon he'd scare the **** out of tired defences like, could terrorise them for 10 mins and they'd be gutted if they didn't stop him. Bad banter in the dressing room if a 40 yr old skins you I reckon! It won't be necessary but would be funny like
it would be great to see but it will never happen, they reckon he leads from the front in training like, scissor kicks all ower
