He's taken a pay cut and been relegated, what would you do (or expect)...? I would love him to stay but he is way too good for this division really - IF he decides to stay and try and help us out of a hole, then I hope this board will be full of praise but if not, then its understandable
It was inevitable that this situation would occur there are players who can perform better than they did last year so other clubs are going to be interested in them and the club are faced with a situation of saying, No you can't leave and risk having players who will not be bothered because they don't want to be here or you let them talk to other clubs IF they meet the valuation that the club places on them. I have no doubt that any of our players could be available if the valuations are met and that Burt, Pemberton and O'Driscoll have lists of people they are interested in should various players leave it's all part of the club evolving. TBH I would be more unhappy is it was Cunningham and/or Moloney who were leaving.
FFS, our most key player IMO. From being quite optimistic I am getting less confident with these 2 latest stories. Plus Blackpool is an absolute **** hole, sorry Hawk !
SOD has proved he is a man with a plan I have faith he will have anticipated Davies going and have replacements lined up. I hope so anyway ! Just get Billy Sharp and I will be very happy.
I agree, inevitable that Davies would go, having been our top scorer. Gutted re Kelly though. These things happen I'm afraid so carry on SOD as they say, it will be like having a new player come Dec. when Kelly returns?
Kelly is a disaster situ However, with regard to Davies, the 3rd tier is a place where you find your own nuggets and diamonds and refine them. Lets hope for another Kelly, and a bright young forward.
I can't believe that this took the management team buy surprise other than the team that made the bid I expect plans are/were already in place just in case this happened and not just for Davies but probably Baldock, Cunningham, Elliott and Moloney as well
I was expecting Davies to go - a club has met our valuation - undisclosed but must be far more than £350k which we called "derisory"
