Looks like Charlton Athletic are leading the chase for his services at the moment. Form an orderly que please for CS.
.....or, possibly, not: http://www.london24.com/sport/champ...man_wanted_by_blackpool_and_ipswich_1_2295345
I think his most likely destination is Blackpool if Ince goes, they're skint and they get a replacement for free. Best result all round I reckon.
I pray we have a sell on clause etc in any deal. Whilst I think it is only right we let him move on now, sods law dictates he'll win Player of the Year or something when he leaves us!
Much stranger things have happened. Wind back a year and you wouldnt find a single City fan who thought Mcshane would get offered a new contract let alone come in the top 3 for PotY....
possibly this is why we shouldnt continually berate players we dont like, because other factors may effect their performances
Ok Ok. What a mistaker-to-maker. Nowt like a bit of humour on a hot day. As for Stewart, Blackpool would be the perfect club for him as its close to his home. Maybe we can get a few sticks of rock instead of a fee for him ?
Now as old FlatTop has to shead much wonga from his playing squad i wonder if its worth SB putting in a cheaky bid for striker Chris Wood ? We could throw in Stewart as part of the deal. That should reduce Lesta's wage bill a fair bit.
Said it on here when he was knocking them in for Leicester whilst people on here were getting all girl knickered about him – Chris Wood isn`t that good and certainly isn`t good enough for the Prem. He’s a decent second tier forward but with his wages and fee he’s yet another financial millstone around Leicester’s neck
Powell is being quoted today as saying he is not even close to making a bid for him, though this is probably just a way of trying to get him a cheap as possible.
He's young and I'm sure he'll score a few again next year in that division - but when the going got tough, his goals dried up. I've seen him play a bit at a few diffeernt clubs and I see him ultimately eeking out a career as a proficient striker at mid table second tier clubs. He allegedly cost circa 1.5-2m and is on around 20-25k p/w - which is far too much for a player when you're going to be languishing in the second tier and only becomes viable if his goals get you up. He's got possible resale I suppose, but it'd take a massive transformation from him or Premier League panic for Leicester to make profit or recoup I'd suggest as with those wages, you'd have to be a bit Radio Rental to sign him (suppose think Rednknapp or perhaps Forest).
