Irishbluebird (Div 1: 13th) DWN 10 A strange season for Irish, picking up the Golden Boot for the 2nd season in a row but never catching the same fire in the other two categories leading to a disappointing defense of his Top Four position. In fact, the third seed never got higher than 8th and a measly 5 points in the Scorers selection is the main reason why. Luckily, Irish was well clear of any relegation fight but we be setting his sights on recovering a Top 10 finish next season and continuing his remarkable CS record – he leads the charts with 15 over the past two seasons. Milford Bluebird (Div 1: 10th) UP 1 Another statically solid season from Milford mainly caused by an improved consistency to move up into the top half of the table. First silverware in the form of the Silver Boot was also collected with a record setting 26 CR’s which set the tone of the season and will take some beating! Milford is a good bet for special things and if he can bag a few more CS, expect to see him on the move up the table. Blueturk the Cat (Div 2:7th) UP 2 How to lose a playoff berth on the final day? To the same player? Two seasons in a row? Ask Blueturk, who will be very miffed at twice being denied by Sparky. He was probably hoping Sparks won the playoffs to avoid a potential hatrick of being taken from behind on the final day but alas Sparks is back. Unlike last season where Turk would have been lucky to get a spot this time he probably deserved one, having been in the mix of autos earlier before fading towards the end. A much more positive performance this year as well and will be looking to be competitive in the coming months, hopefully getting a playoff spot this time!
ccfcrtOp (Div 1: 9th) UP 14 A strong season for ccfcrtOp as he capitalises well upon that successful playoff promotion. Ironically, despite being last to confirm his place in the Top Flight it is ccfc who finishes top of 11/12 promotion winners. Less CS than in his debut season but more than enough points to ensure an overachieving midtable finish and now we get to the Second Season Syndrome theory haha. It will all about securing another season in the 1st Division similar to City! Sayer77 (Div 2: 5th) DWN 7 Was not able to make an instant return to the First Division but still performed well throughout the season to put him well in the mix and to finally earn him a playoff shot with a dramatic CS for the Hull finale. Was highly unlucky to lose to Ex in a thrilling semi-final that went all the way to the final game and could have easily swung in Sayerâs favour. Now he must take positives from the past season to try and earn him a way out of this division. bluebird_nat (Div 1: 17th R) DWN 13 The shock relegation victim Nat had a miserable season after finishing 4th in her debut season. Hindered by a severe lack of predictions Nat truly failed to consolidate a top half finish and has slipped in Division 2. This was despite reaching highs of third place early on in the season, including 2 CS in 6 games, but it all ended pear shaped. Will Nat be a class above the rest of Division 2 or will be a struggle to make up for this mistake? Isawronnymoorescore (Div 1: 11th) UP 3 A better season from ronny to move away from the drop zone and only finish a couple of points away from a Top 10 place, a good achievement considering he spent most of it lounging near the bottom. However, two seasons of same risk ronny has to be careful in an increasingly competitive division â it could be a scrap to avoid the drop next season.
Awwww i got relegated I will predict every game this season i will make time!! Work and studying will take a back seat! Divison 2 champ
Get in the queue Nat!! I've lost out in the playoffs this past two seasons. Stuffed by r2d2 in the semis the first time, got to the final last season and got demolished by Exile. It's gotta be my turn this year - or VT will pull the plug on me (so the jacks reckon anyway).......
R2D2 LOL that was an entertaining play off well i thought so but then i won LOL!! No we had a laugh!! Great bit of banter all the way that year.
Privatebenjamin (Div 1: 15th) UP 5 Last year’s Division 2 winner struggled his way to safety after spending most of the season in the bottom three, Private pulled away towards the end and eventually deserving his place in the top tier for the coming season. He will also be looking for a much improved score this time round where his brave style of predicting may be better suited to the Premier League. However, private will have to careful as a repeat performance may see him go back down.
Looking forward to this again, although i fear if i want to do well I'll have to predict a few more losses this time.
GLAMorgan (Div 1:4th) DWN 2 Another strong league campaign for last year’s runner up as he continues his consistency for the second season running. Despite suffering a terrible start with only 16 points picked up for his starting 18 games, GLAM recovered to put himself well in the mix for a top 4 finish. This involved making full use of both the result and goalscorer charts to make up the ground and surge up the table. GLAM now has the chance to seal a hatrick of Top Four finishes and seal himself the prize of the most consistent predictor, may need a trophy though….
