Matchday Prices for 2013/14 announced Club reduces ticket prices for new season. And tickets for the season opener against Bradford City, which takes place at Ashton Gate on Saturday, August 3rd, will go on sale from 5pm tomorrow (Wednesday). As with season ticket prices, there has been a significant reduction across the board in match-by-match rates, some as much as 20 per cent. Adult tickets will be available from as little as £14, with some tickets for Under-8s, in The Post Family Stand, priced just £2. City will continue their dynamic pricing structure in 2013/14, which allows supporters to benefit from big discounts when purchasing in advance. Additionally the club has removed ALL booking fees. Kevin Smith, the club’s commercial director, told bcfc.co.uk: “In line with season ticket pricing, we felt it was the right thing to reduce the price of matchday tickets for the coming season. “A season ticket will always be the most cost effective way to watch City. However, for those fans who aren't able to commit to the entire season, these prices still demonstrate excellent value. “We were delighted with the popularity of The Post Family Stand last season, and our cheapest tickets will again be in that area. “The removal of booking fees was hugely important to us, following feedback and consultation with the Fans Parliament – so the price you see will be the price you pay.” With the new season approaching fast, Bradford tickets will be available at phase one prices right up until Friday, August 2nd. 2013/14 PRICES Wedlock Stand: Adult - £17 (Matchday - £20), Senior Citizen - £13 (£17), Under-21s - £11 (£15), Under-18s - £7 (£10), Under-8s - £4 (£8). A bit of common sense being applied here. Are the club finally realising that to attract younger fans the prices need to reflect the mass unemployment, high food and fuel prices, and job insecurity that exisits in 2013.
as a man without a season ticket these prices will allow me to get to more game with the 2 kids the club has to be praised here I see alot of fans aren't happy on the official forum some people are never pleased I wonder how the prices stack up against the rest of the league and the local rivals
One of the major stepping stones in our rebuild is getting more people in the seats and this appears to be a massive step along that road. About 4 years ago I paid 28 pounds for a lousy seat and realised why the crowds were so low for such poor quality of football. A rare statement from me but here goes "Well done Bristol City".
as a st holder i feel mugged of by the club.............only 50p ish cheaper per game and if i miss one game im no better actually worse of with home game costs even thou i committed myself to the cause in advance................ Do get little extras and did do finance but regarding match to match prices my st in the dolman central area should have been cheaper imho
This is exactly why I didn't get a season ticket. I always miss 4 or 5 games. I'm well in front now. Just got to be switched on for buying in the first phase.
I buy a family ticket in the Dolman which works out the same as 2 adults, but if I was to be just paying the standard price I would be pissed off as well. Saving over 23 games but you need to attend all 23 to get the saving. Why can't they just put cup games in the season ticket prices or at least let us pay half price for the privilege to sit my seat.
Last May when Season Ticket prices were announced Kevin Smith, our commercial director, said: âWe felt strongly that a reduction on all season ticket prices was the right thing to do for next season. âWe've listened to supporter feedback and have worked closely with our Fans Parliament to create a range of prices that we hope will be popular. Is this bloke for real ? Another cohort - David Lloyd wrote last May - 'Itâs always a pleasure to talk with fans, and my door is always open if you want to discuss things further. To make sure we get things right this year we will be discussing our proposals for pricing etc with our Fans Parliament at the next meeting on the 7th May. Weâll listen to their feedback and then announce the final arrangements as soon as possible after that'. Jobs Worth Dave - did you listen ? No, just paid bloody lip service and we've been mugged - again. For all BCFC directors - you'll reap what you sow.
yep, pissed off too, i also bought me and the missus ST in central dolman and weve saved stuff all if we miss one bloody game!!!!! Sorry its bang out of order, i have no problem the club reducing prices, but surely STH deserve a better return?????????????????????
Something no one has mentioned complaining about matchday prices compared to Season Ticket prices the benefit is there IF you buy your tickets in the first phase if you are too busy so have to buy on the day the price goes up and you have less choice about where you sit with a season ticket you always know where you will be. Not a lot of benefit to me as I can't tell til at the very earliest until the day before a game if I am likely to be fit enough to go and even then by the time I've driven from Blackpool to London to collect the girlfriend and then Driven to Bristol and done the reverse trip I've already spent a couple of hundred pounds in fuel that's before I pay to get into the ground. In the days when I lived in Bristol and was a season ticket holder I only missed 2 games in 10 years and those were because there were emergencies at the hospitals where I worked. What did annoy me was the time we beat Leeds away the tickets for the Liverpool game went on sale the morning after when some of us were still on our way back thanks to a coach breaking down so I couldn't go to the ground before my afternoon shift and when I went next morning the tickets had all been sold, not to genuine fans but the once in a blue moon, lets go and see Liverpool or Leeds brigade. The point is Season tickets are meant to be a cheaper option for people who go to every match if people know they are going to miss several games in a season don't buy a season ticket unless the convienience of having a season ticket outweighs the messing about on the phone or having to get to the ground earlier to buy a ticket.
I am a little confused. My season ticket in the Atyeo costs £329 but if I don't have one and even if I buy all my matchday ticket in advance, 23 games is still going to cost me a minimum of £414 so I make that a saving of £85 or pretty much 5 games. So, how has the club mugged me with my season ticket...? Edit:- on top of that, I sometimes wouldn't decide to go until the day of the game so this would add £3 per game to the cost and if I did that 6 times a year, that is another game..
Because in the Dolman, we pay near on £400 for a season ticket per person. Like I said I'm quids in because I get the family ticket but without that I will be paying £17 a game saving £2 a games = £46 a season.
Because I paid 425 and to buy per game is: 23 x 19 = 437 Miss one game which is roughly 18.50 for me and the saving on my st is only 12 pound......... Taking the p**s
Can't make my mind up whether I agree or not with some of the threads on here! must be my age. What does p*** me off is that sometimes due to police or Sky, games are changed to a Fri night which is rarely a possibility for me, so that cuts the savings I make by buying a ST. I do think that STs could be made more attractive, the cup tickets idea is a good one. (God knows that wouldn't have lost the club much money as we always seem to go out in the first round anyway)
