Even though we've got about a million midfielders, I think we should lump our entire £1M transfer budget on an unproven L1 player, and make sure he's yet another midfielder, then have a self imposed transfer embargo Sod CB's and pacey wingers Oh hang on, that's already happened
I did like Forrester and the player we need to take on fullbacks down the wings. try watch a him if you can
Some real squad players on these lists to be honest, some could have made a difference but most won't. I am glad its quiet so far this season if it means no more useless squad defenders or midfielder's. Lets keep the cash (if any) for someone worth signing (even if on loan). The Premiership squad lists have not been done yet. You never know who may be available.
A lot of good quality free transfers have joined clubs though. Sounds like it's the wages that are the problem for us, not the transfer fees. Considering how big our squad is and how many useless players are on decent contracts with decent wages, it's not really surprising that GFH are reluctant to sign more players until some leave.
I've said it time and again, I'm not going to be drawn on negative comments until I at least see the finished article from the transfer window or at the very least the line-up against Brighton. A lot can happen between now and then. Last time McD was starting to say we need to offload players, we don't seem to have the money to do deal etc we signed a couple players in the next few days.
