So as usual nothing seems to be coming off

Hooper obviously doesn't fancy the project
Crouch ditto
Saviola just a load of paper talk

Meanwhile 'Arry seems happy with Zamora & AJ which we all know will end in tears and the medical room and sees Karl Henry as strategically more important than adel

Nothing ever changes does it?
 
I think this week will change Wuba its got to, only two weeks till first game & i think after watching those pre-season games he knows the importance of strikers well i hope so anyway, could be a busy week!
 
Agree Belfast but we're running out of quality options

Shouldn't have been so quick to release DJ until we'd actually secured the others in my opinion
 
Yes I do think Arry is too quick to write players off

DJ has gone - should have kept him
Mackie - persistent rumours about him going to forest
Adel - sent home possibly correctly but to sell our most creative player would be a mistake

We still have Remy at the moment but we can't count on him being around all season if at all
 
I would have rather kept Bothroyd over Zamora too. He's got a good scoring record at Championship level.
 
No I didn't rate bothroyd even when we first went for him. Far too lazy

I'd have preferred to keep cisse
 
Maybe he was a bit lazy. But his scoring rate at Championship level is rather good - certainly better than anyone else's left at the Club.
 
Time to turn to the greatest striker of my lifetime - Arthur Scargill. Plays very wide left.
 
We STILL have Taraabt, Remy, Zamora, Johnson and Mackie. When someone leaves I am sure we will get someone in. Praying for Hooper but Austin would be a good signing as well.

Clutching at straws but we can also play Hoilett up front.

I was hopeful that we might have Remy until January, but he has not played in pre-season games. Taraabt will not be selected and the other three are just no good. We desperately need to sign a goalscorer.
 
Agree Wubba. Just hoping Harry plays his cards close to his chest. We'll see what he's got eventually and judge him on that.

sb-73 LOL! Just had a mental picture of him flying up the wing, breezing past defenders, comb over blowing in the wind and socks around his ankles a la Dave Thomas!
