I honestly could not come close to guessing what line up will take the field. I think it will purely be down to who our opposition is as opposed to our "best 11" I think Laudrup knows the squad will be very fluid,as far as I can see only Ash Williams will play most games as he is skipper !

There are endless combinations to have and the likes of Shelvey, pouzuelo, canas, amat, bony and JDG have really upped the standards . It will be very intresting to see how Laudrup does it.

Pozuelo looks very busy and creative on the field, I would expect him to be used a lot. Maybe with Pablo. I think Routlege and Dyer may find it tough to get game time.

Impossible to say. Lets hope Bony clearance is through soon, so he can start. In midfield pick any 4 from about 10. What a nice problem to have.

norway thats right i cant see who will start from keeper to striker at the moment, everyone is in with a shout and laudrup has a hard but envious task ahead of him and if he does his homework right he can chose a side depending who we are playing throughout the season as long as we stay relatively injury free...

I think pozuelo will have a big part to play this season, looks a cracking player. I think at home when playing teams we are expecting to win against, we may see shelvey as the holding mid, with Michu and pozuelo attacking.
    Can't wait!

Dont think its impossible to say! i am giving an opinion on what i think is our strongest team!

Bony i would bet my life that this guy will be our 1st choice striker
Michu again bet my life if fit he wont be sat on the bench
ok its difficult to say who will be our wing men but for me Hernandez and Routlage
I wouldn't like to see us play 2 DM unless we have to. now this position is a very difficult one as Leon is one of our most important players
JDG and Shelvey from what i have seen Shelvey edges it and brings something extra to our game
the only defender that i couldn't really guess is taylor or Davies and my opinion is Davies

Bony is a very strong guy and I am expecting him to assist a lot of goals for michu!

I would say at the moment Davies is in before Taylor. He took his chance well last year and for me is now the number one left back at our club, as Taylor is going to have to fight like hell to get that slot back.

this may be a option, risky one tho the work rate of the midfield players must be high to cover the gaps. to me it has goals written all over it

    Mine would be

    Code:

           Vorm
    Rangel Chico Ash Ben
           Leon
         Shelvey
     Pablo Michu Routs
           Bony
Incredible to believe but that would leave a current Dutch international, South Korea's player of the year and the stand-out player in GB's Olympic team on the bench !!!

its easy for us to pick a team as we tend to pick our favorite players and in reality we dont know who the strongest team is, There are so many combinations to say as a fan what would be our strongest, Laudrup probably wont know yet and as manager he has the hard job of picking the right team for the right opposition and he will watch closely who trains well and who plays together well and who is on form.....he has a hell of a task in front of him..

Dai that's the whole point. Every fan has his opinion this is mine not Laudrup's. This is only a football forum the team you choose is not final! I just wanted to hear other people's thoughts on who they think is our strongest team

To be honest I find it too difficult to select a team right now so I'm not going to try. The back four, Bony and Michu are obvious starters but the rest of the mids present a huge problem. Shelvey looks as though he will prove to be our missing link with his energy and drive. He also passes it well. Pozuelo? Well, I'm excited by this guy and the more he plays, having missed a lot of games in recent seasons, the better he will get - and he's looking pretty good right now.

Pablo has turned in some great performances so far creating and scoring goals whilst every other player has looked good during the friendlies. And that's the rub. Friendlies tell you so much but nothing like the whole picture. So far, our players have been relaxed, strutted their stuff and looked good because there's been no pressure to speak of. Our better players will carry this form into the Premier League but some are going to fall off the pace a little at this stage.

I suspect that one of our better performers will be Canas. To me, he looks the type of guy who relishes a battle and I think that when the real stuff starts, we will see the real Canas. One thing is certain: we are blessed with a terrific squad and Laudrup has a huge headache in store when he has to select his best team. Exciting times ahead.
