He looks decent, well worth £1.5m, but he's no star, his finishing, composure and technique is a bit low for a premier league striker. Should be a good player though please log in to view this image
Since moving to Evian in 2010 he has played 90 games and scored 22......Apart from that nothing much else but I am sure someone will find some youtube clips....Sounds more like he has potential and is reasonably priced...whether he can make it in PL is another matter but, is it a risk giving him his chance......
We're not in a position to buy a top rated, known in the PL striker, or any other position. We don't want to fill the team up with people on a last pay cheque. We don't want injured has beens. We have to trust that Bruce and his entire team know what they're doing in these less known players from other leagues. I've no doubt they'll get some wrong, but I trust them to get some right too. We just need to think of it as a marathon, and not a sprint.
The quotes from Bruce sound promising, but the"mail understands" bit could be pure guesswork. It might not be Sagbo...
As I was told a French speaking black fella was having a medical, I assume it was him, rather than Briand and if he's had a medical already, I assume this is pretty much a done deal. The article says he's from Evian, but several reference sites say he was on loan at Evian from Monaco.
At £1.6m it seems worth the gamble. Add Briand too,, plus a defensive midfielder (Palacios? Cattermole? Bridcutt? Trotter?) & then we're ready I'd say. Maybe add one of Ken Jones or Ash Barnes on the cheap if we're being greedy.
Claasen appears to be primarily an attacking midfielder..so the DM issue still would need addressing.
Depends if he's deemed good enough. Him and Briand would offer great options to change formation though too.
Brilliant HDM Reporting again "Meanwhile, the Daily Star is reporting Hull boss Steve Bruce wants his old Manchester United pal Steve Bruce to do him a favour by letting him have either Kenwyne Jones or Peter Crouch."
