As Mentioned several times, Villanova is (now oficially) Stepping Down as the manager in FC Barcelona. This is probably the ONLY offer ML cannot turn Down. FC Barcelona will not come asking Again, ever!
The Catalan Club might have an understanding for where ML is in his career (and ask elsewhere), but will he himself be able to say no, to managing Messi and Neymar (and everybody else in FCB). A lot of perople were worried during Tutumulu-gate, my prediction is that this could be far more serious!

Sky sports have put ML in the running. Hope not but won't begrudge him going

Think it's a bit early for Laudrup to take this job on.

I can't see him going for this at this stage in his career, you manage a club like Barca once in your life, think the Catalans will know that he might not be ready for the huge burden of management there.

I am not worried as its the same old lazy journalism/scaremongering. They will promote from within as per the usual. Roura was running the team when Villanova was away anyhow and they have only just signed Rubi as assistant coach.

Next Barca manager will be Joan Francesca Ferrer.

I really can't see Barca appointing Laudrup as their next manager. He's brilliant but not ready for them yet, I can see them going after Chris Coleman personally....

Of one thing I an certain, ML will be manager of Barcelona, but not yet. He is in no hurry, he is still young and the job is there on a plate when he wants it. After all, why would he come to Swansea? To work with an up and coming Premiership team, to establish them as a regular Premiership team, to develop his coaching and managerial skills, gain experience of the EPL, the unexpected bonus of Europa football next year and enhance his reputation. Swansea are a great stepping stone for him and he's not going anywhere this year. Next year, when his contract runs out, yes I expect him to go and with my undying thanks that, in my opinion, the best Mid fielder that ever was, spent a couple of years at Swansea City and did so much to help us, I cannot thank him enough. 10 years ago, Michael Laudrup is manager of Swansea City, lets face it a 10 quid bet on that then and you could retire in luxury now.
Now here is my prediction, ML will sign a new contract with a speculative buy out clause of 5 Million, HJ is no fool. If Barce want him, they are going to have to pay. He will arrive at Barce as the hero he is to their fans and depart as the hero he is to us. I wish him every success. Now who will be the next Swans manager?

I am so tired of these posts. is this the only way to be interesting in your life mikraswan? Why don't you go cry on fck boards instead.

And oh yeah, I was there watching B1903 when they beat lyngby and took the championship. Don't really care much for you to be honest.

Nothing wrong with the thread, if you are not going to contribute to it, or find it boring, why even bother replying ?

Irrespective of who comes calling ML has stated time and time again that he isnt going anywhere for another season he made a promise and he keeps his promises (his words not mine). So I for one am not worried at all for the upcoming season. When he does go, which will probably be next season I hope it is to Barca or Madrid as he would have left us in an excellent position and deserves the shot at managing one of them

Okay. I just gonna leave this peace of make up drama. I frankly can't understand why anyone would humor him. I personally had enough of this subject. If he goes he goes, why the hell waste your time. I don't get it, sorry.

Viking, mikra gas created a thread that could potentially involve our manager becoming the new barca manager. If you are going to attack another poster for creating a football related thread, then why don't you head your advise and piss off yourself.

Laudrup now 6/1 but has said he knows nothing about the rumours. He will become their manager one day, but not yet in my opinion.

It's a choice of managing the greatest football side in the world...or leaving us to manage Barcelona.

    It's a no brainer really ;)

Thankyou for taking time out of your busy Schedule and evaluate my actions. But you're right: I don't care much about you or your opinions either, so get lost...

It's a bit OTT Viking this is a football forum when I last checked and this is a a football related topic. nothing that gets posted will influence the club in any way. everyone seems to have a problem with speculation and rumours but it all adds to the drama to the game and adds to the entertainment of the game (god forbid we get left with a boring straight game like rugby. I love football because of the game with all its dramas)

I think ML is a contender for the job, maybe a bit premature but, he has had success in La Liga and is classed a Barca hero! He is a strong candidate he would have instant respect from the club, players and fans! The only thing is he said he is
staying at swansea and he promised. And I think he won't back away from it even though most people would understand.
