But we pre filled any gaps with 10 signings - if anyone is a journeyman it is N'Daiye from what i have seen, promises much but yet to deliver. Question: What if it means we keep Sess?
Its all about supply and demand, we could sell the 3 players you mentioned and perhaps be lucky to break even - he is a saleable commodity which would yield a greater profit than those 3 players put together, with that profit I reckon Defanti has one or two other midfielders probably closer to a finished article the N'Daiye is. If he stays great, I will over the moon, couldn;t be happier, might even flick one off(ok, that is just for effect).............but if he goes it is not the end of the world is it, Vaughan, Gardener and Colback made greater tangible contributions than N'Daiye last season in the shape of goals. We need to buy in to the new wheeling dealing with an element of book balancing regime because that is where we are at the minute - there could be a cold wind blowing through the premiership soon, we need to make sure we do not get a chill when the revenues drop and if we have to make a profit on an unproven player then I can live with it.
Gardner cost 5 million apparently and we'll lose him for free in a year. the other two were free (also leaving for free in a year) they'll bring more than 5m between the 3 of them(or nothing in a year). How much will we get for Alfie? 6m? 7m if we're very lucky? and he still has plenty of contract to run and time to develop and polish. We'll have to agree to disagree, moving on those 3 players in the last year of their contracts would represent much better business than selling alfie. It's all about priorities imo. Keep Keep Keep
We will get next to now't for those three players now anyway.............so how do you finance the revolution that is ongoing at the club and it does need to be financed - we need to recognise that fact, one you do then you will realise that if a decent profit can be made then so be it. You have seen what value for money is out there at the minute, £5 million would buy a much much better midfielder than N'Daiye, plus it would be a signing made by DeFanti/PDC, one of their own. If he stays great, no problem at all..............
I really cant see it happening Alfie is the type of player PDC wants young, strong can get better & better with more game time. Plus like Larsson Alfie played very well for PDC when he took over. We need to move on others like Vaughan & if we can get a decent price for him Catts.
Respect to yourself sir, it's all valid and on that note... If we could shift all 4 and bag 10m plus and replace them with two pieces of quality i'd be more than happy, provided ofcourse that the players in their last year go first and the club has replacements lined up.
