To sweeten it a little - don;t know much about Cavanda like

I'd do it for a swap deal with Merieles. Not the best long-term deal, but it would help us over the next 2 years or so.

I really like N'Diaye, but maybe we can get £5m for him (based on the fact that we paid £3.5m and like Russian clubs, but to a lesser extent, Turkish clubs pay a premium).

PDC might look at it and think that £5m lets him go back after Duncan or lets him up the offer on Insigne. Maybe we are lining up a bit money signing and we are factoring that in.

I'll be disappointed if Alfie goes as I think his improvement was dramatic in the last handful of game last season and I think he could be a very good premier league DM in a year or two, but I will trust the direction the club is going in right now.

 

Nope. Alfie is much younger than Miereles, who admittedly is a quality player, but we'd get 2 good seasons max from him before his age began to tell.

Cavanda plays for Lazio and it's a Turkish club interested. Hope we sign him though can play rb or lb so very useful cover

 

Maybe re-signing Thomas Hauser? Roly gregoire?

Meireles went to Chelsea for £12 then a year later to Fenerbache for £8m so he's probably worth about £5 now.

We bought Alfie from Bursaspor for £3.5 so a straight swap or player + cash (for us) might be a good move. At least Meireles has some premiership experience.

I really think the club have to listen to offers and are we really in a position to be "gutted" or felt let down if he does move on after what has been a breath taking close season transfer frenzy.

N'Diaye looks as if he has potential to fill - sad if its not with us but if it help finance another decent transfer or balance the books then I'm sure DeFanti & PDC must think one of the 10 players we have signed could fill N'Diaye's shoes.

 

Apparantly Bursaspor are the team trying to re-sign him .....
