SOUTHAMPTON, SUNDERLAND KEEN ON ANDERLECHT DEFENDER CHEIKHOU KOUYATE Anderlecht defender Cheikhou Kouyate has welcomed fresh interest from England. Southampton and Sunderland are among clubs chasing Kouyate. "I'd be lying if I said I did not think about a transfer. We've been linked with him for a while now and yeah there were quotes in a sky sports article a couple of days ago from him about us. Centre back is the worst of our worries ATM so I can't see us signing him
I cant see it being us either. We currently have 6 first team defenders (5 CB's & 1RB). The RB (Bardo) is on his way out, so common sense would suggest if we sign any defenders it will be full backs.
God we need full backs ASAP, I will feel better with Peruzzi over the line but we are still very short at the back.
We're another team reportedly interested, I guess if he's cheap, young and wants a move, a lot of teams will be sniffing about.
