Queens Park Rangers are in talks with Karl Henry over a deal to bring the Wolves midfielder to Loftus Road.
Harry Redknapp is looking to strengthen his squad to boost their promotion hopes next season and is keen to add steel to his midfield with the 30-year-old.

Even though he hasn’t travelled on the conditioning trip – former England manager Steve McClaren is taking charge of training – Redknapp is still calling the shots and Rangers have left behind a series of big names, who are all likely to leave the relegated club.
Striker Loic Remy, a target for Newcastle, has joined up with the squad.
But among the high profile players left in England are Joey Barton, Anton Ferdinand, Adel Taarabt, Jose Bosingwa, Luke Young and Samba Diakite.
Henry would be a welcome boost to QPR should he complete his move from League One side Wolves. With a number of players set to leave the club and few signings coming in, Rangers’ bid to bounce back up to the Premier League could be a struggle.

‘It’s not looking good,’ said one source at the club earlier this week. ‘There is no manager and there isn’t exactly a rush of new players, either. It looks like it is going to be another tough season. We hope Harry comes back soon, but it is odd to start pre-season without the manager.’
Redknapp is at home after knee surgery that could sideline him for at least another six weeks. They play Besiktas on Saturday.

I don't really rate Henry personally and think a club in your position would be aiming higher

So would we, but then sometimes it's the players you frown upon when signing that turn in to hidden gems.

Welcome boost? Typical daily fail ****e.

Reminds me of the South Park episode where they try to get the KKK to vote for the other side so they can win. Take the opposite of the fail and youll always be right.

Signing Henry has shades of big Leon written all over it

Hardworking but not particularly useful in the scheme of things

This is irritating to see that we are being linked with another holding midfielder. It is clear that we do not have a problem keeping hold of the ball, or playing it sideways. Our biggest problem last season and probably the season before was making forward passes. We need a consistently creative centre midfielder (not someone like Adel), who actually wants to get forward. If we're talking in terms of players Redknapp has signed before we need a Modric or Van der Vaart TYPE. In the championship market it is difficult to think who could do this, possible Eisfeld from Arsenal on loan.

We might as well also go for Titus Bramble, Marlon King, El Hadji Diouf, Charlie Austin and Andros Townsend to complete our band of misfits with "issues".

**** Henry- I’d pick Faurlin Granero, Jenas, Derry and Diakite ahead of him on that order. Probably more but I’ve had a boozy lunch.

If we signed hi its just more evidence tat Redkanpp is a useless ****er

do a search for daily fail and underage girls, its not exactly something I want in my search history but they regularly picture underage girls in bikinis and describe them as "hot" and "sexy".

Like you, I don't think I'd like something like that in my search history. An interesting allegation, though. I'm guessing I read that rag more frequently than your good self (on account of your hatred of it) and can honestly say I've never seen anything of the sort. If anybody can prove otherwise then I'd share the outrage (link please). A few weeks back you were saying it was a journal read by the EDL, now it's a *****s' favourite.

Now, Kevin Doyle would be a good addition.
