It aint Dr Allam or Allam Jr ruining their good work, its angry people on the internet who need to be angry at stuff all the time.
I just want you to know that you're the least funniest person on this board. By a long shot. Carry on...
Brighton and Hove Albion is irrelevant to this as it was founded under that name. Nothing to do with going bankrupt and swallowed by a neighbouring club. However, Gateshead swallowing up another club and being known as Gateshead trading as Hull FC is.
Noticed this from the flag thread 4th may Rebranding of the club - Les Motherby asked for clarification that we aren't changing our identity a la Cardiff. The sign above the Hull City reception now says 'Hull City Tigers'. NT if I'm being honest didn't convince me with his answer. He says the 'business' and the 'club' are separate entities and the club will not be changing its name, it's just for marketing and business purposes. Various people suggested that this shouldn't involve changing signs at the ground and on the website but NT defended this. He dismissed the possibility of us becoming 'Hull Tigers' but seems keen on 'Hull City' 'Tigers' as our 'brand' name. It def seems it's creeping in with the events since then
Can we move back to Boothferry Park so I can reminisce about the smell of urine please? I will support City in conference or prem. What they are called is an irrelevance to me. If we can attract more funding from a name change I would be happy to do it. I cannot see how it would actually affect my life so badly. If we receive banter from other fans it is just a bit of fun.
Totally agree ^^^(except for the return to Fer Ark ). I've spoken to loads of City fans about this, the majority have been supporters for 30+ years, and not one of them can see what all the fuss is about. I personally don't think a name change will happen but if it does I also don't think it would create any extra revenue for the club, either way I couldn't really care less as long as my team continues to turn out in black and amber. I certainly won't be joining Erik at Ferriby
Yes DMD it probably is....the vast majority of fans don't come on these websites to air their views, it's like Trade Unions, unless they're forced to, the majority of members never attend TU meetings therefore the militants who do always win any votes for action. It's the way of the world.
Amazingly, I too talk to people away from the boards, in fact I've spoken to 'many, many' people which as I'm sure you know, statistically out trumps 'loads' and nobody at all thinks it's a good idea. I win.
