I think everyone accepts that we the offer might have been just cash no player. It's the blind insistence by many Chelsea fans that "what our club said must be true" that we don't accept.

And wasn't one of Jose's conditions of his return that he have the final say over transfers? So no Shevchenkos, and no one hanging over his shoulder telling him who he can and can't buy and sell. Jose does have form for getting rid of the big players sharpish if he feels they aren't the players he wants - Desailly, Hasselbaink, Raul, VDV all straight out the door at his last clubs. Mata is obviously playing better than they were, but think Mourinho would sell anyone if he thinks it will help the team win.

Oh, and Rio wasn't positive. He provided a negative urine test within 24 hours and undertook a hair follicle test, also negative. Not sure what that has to do with anything tho?

I got it from a usually reliable source that Mata was indeed offered. Their denial sounds a bit panicky and insincere <ok>

LOL that bucks blue is such a ******.

Is he district line in cover that?

bucks blue is such a ****, this is why i've been saying since before keep them wums banned.

as for this case. Chelsea fans need to calm down, United won't sell Rooney to chelsea at any price unless i think its a silly amount of money like 80 million. All i can see the next headline coming out " United reject Chelsea's second bid".

Moyes did say twice he's not for sale.

Rooney needs to stop being an idiot, he will regret it if he does leave.

To be fair Bucks Blue was one of the very few Chelsea fans worth chatting to up until his current meltdown. Match goer and, unlike most of the others, he clearly predates Roman.

what do u guys think? should we keep Rooney and refuse to sell him or not?

i think we should keep him and make sure's he's not for sale because he is a world class striker, it'll be a big hole to fill if he does leave, not impossible to fill but a big blow.

if thats a big IF we do decide to sell him, it must not be a English club, defo not Chelsea.

Sell him. He either lacks talent or ambition as he can't get in the team ahead of RVP. He's no longer the right player for a big club like United.

Christ... I come over for a debate. Yeah I said what I felt and came against all the United fans but did I start abusing any of the posters on here? No. Did I get over heated at any point? No. So why am I a ****? Because I'm speaking for what I believe in with regards to the Rooney saga and because I don't agree with you, I'm a wum? You're gunna have to spell this out for me. So you now want to ban me for speaking up?! Oh and a ******? Nah mate...

As for Rooney. As I said, I felt it was unprofessional by United BUT I think we'll get Rooney in the end. He'll be our main striker and Rooney would have liked that Jose has said he is the only striker we are looking at. Rooney wants to be number 1 but RVP is your main striker. I think he has done very well at United but also feel he'll come to us.

Now I dunno about you... But what I have said isn't being a wum is it? It's debating about it. I spoke to UIR after and said yeah... it was a good debate and that also goes for 'No One Famous'. But if you want me banned!? Go ahead... Cause I don't really know what it would be for.

Wouldn't call it a current meltdown! It's probably the first time I've had a proper debate with any set of opposition fans! But if you guys thought I was being a wum... Well... Your choice

Rooney will go to Chelsea, probably for £30M which is well over the odds. Mourinho usually gets his man.

You have done nothing wrong BB, i have said before (and on your board) that a supporter should be proud of any trophy his team win, if you are in it you want to win it.
I must say though that the back to back European titles you won will never be achieved again, at least not the way round you won them ;)

This is just Mourinho`s way of trying to destablise Uniteds dressing room, he has said Rooney is his only target as a striker yet he is not prepared to pay enough to tempt United to sell. He knows Rooney is playing up and is stringing him along, pre-season mind games.

    lool getting excited already yeah?

Rooney won't go Chelsea, we're not Arsenal to sell our rivals a world class striker.

your forgetting that you will only get Rooney if UNITED decides to sell him to a rival club which i'm sure it won't happen. I'm pretty sure Chelsea won't be the only club coming for him.

how many times does Moyes have to say Rooney is not for sale?

not sure about this time though. Even if Rooney wants to go Chelsea, it is all up to United whether they will sell a world class striker to a rival in the same country?

i don't think that will happen. Like i said before, i believe he will be staying, if he is going to leave, it will be abroad. I'm also double sure United won't sell him to Chelsea at any time because it will make a rival club stronger.

    This ain't happening.

Has Man Utd or SAF ever sold a big player to a team that is challenging them?

I know Sir Alex is gone but i can't see Moyes changing that as well. Man Utd don't sell big players to challenging teams.

This is what makes the whole offering two star players for Rooney even more absurd. Jose may have sold on top men at other clubs but never to a main rival. The board just wouldn't allow it. Inasmuch as it would e foolish of united to let Rooney come to us it would even more so to allow Mata or Luiz to go to united AND pay or the privaledge. Utter nonsense on both sides of the fence. One fact remains. Chelsea bid for him United turned it down.
