I'd happily add Baptiste, Huddlestone, Bridcutt, Russell, Hooper and Mphela from that list. We'd look strong fitting them into the squad.

If you're hinting that Danny Graham is 38th choice then you're massively mistaken. This list wasn't complied by Steve Bruce, it was just done by the OP, probably as he remembered each one.
Interesting lists - wonder how many of the players we HAVE signed would have been on the list of targets we could have drawn up on the evening we got promoted. Personally I think we did better than expected to get the two keepers we signed
I'm pretty sure we were linked with that Oshaniwa bloke the day after we were promoted? I also thought we were linked with Palacios before we were linked with Huddlestone? Nicklas Bendtner was in the last week or so, certainly after Mbokani who had already moved to Dynamo Kiev by the time the NB link surfaced.
I've kept a basic txt document on my laptop desktop since we were promoted, I've added to each position everytime we have been linked to someone. Bendtner was linked earlier in the summer, it is only in recent weeks that rumour has cropped up again but as more concrete interest.
