    We need another back-up keeper is that not the simple answer.

    We saw enough of Elliott to realise he's not good enough for the PL.
    Probably ok for odd games, but that's about it.

    Krul's been injured a couple of times now, so better to get someone decent in, just in case.

    It may actually be forward thinking for once and not a negative move.

    We would be stupid to sell Krul as he's deemed as a home-grown player who trained at the club as a youth player. As any FM2013 fan will tell you a superb home-grown goalkeeper is like gold-dust and is extremely useful with the home-grown quota regulations. But Fat Ash probably won't care as we wont get near Europe for the foreseeable future for it to matter.

    I think this is more likely that we are a bit low on numbers in that area and would prefer young Alnwick to get some time out on loan to help his development. The other points are - its just a story and may not be accurate and of course though Eliott retains the managers etc backing pubically, that doesn't mean they do not want to improve there. The same goes for Willo etc. As a manager you have to support your players, all of them regardless of what your future plans for them may be.

    I have absolutely no idea why, but for some reason, i'm supremely confident about keeping hold of Tim Krul.

    I've said before that I think he's genuinely happy here, it would take a truly massive club to come after him and prise him away.

    I hope we can keep Krul with us, Elliott doesn't exactly fill us with confidence and he did himself no favours yesterday.

    We will probably sneak him out the backdoor on the last day of the transfer window for around 15 million and bring in some bottom feeder as under study to Elliot.
