Hoilett? (don't really know how he's done with you to be honest)
    Samba
    Macheda

That's just from the first 3 pages of your posts on Ade's old site.

I admit I called for Samba to be signed as did everyone, theres a difference between wanting to bring in a player and saying someone should do ok once they sign.
Hoilett has been ****, as was Samba but I still think it was right bringing them in, they just didnt turn out well like a lot of other players.

I think that that has a lot to do with introducing players into an already poisoned dressing room. Once we eradicate the poison element we can bring in and nurture the young talent. Hoilett was the right player at the wrong time for us. I fear that we need to re-build before we will grow again.

But that's the point I'm making, with Samba, Hoilett, Macheda, and Hooper there's 4 players you thought the club should sign or was right to sign. If you're going to claim credit for spotting Hooper when the club missed him you have to offset your judgement with the poor calls on the other players. I'm sure if I went further back on the other forum I could find players from the same time as Hooper moved to Celtic that you were wanting that haven't done well.

btw, you wanting them was when it was still at the rumours stage, you called Johnson right, but you only described Hooper as a decent Championship player so how keen were you on him?

I was never campaigning to sign Hoilett or Macheda like I was for Rhodes, Samba and Hooper.

Ill admit I thought Hoilett could do a job once we signed him as did everyone.

SSN apparently saying that bid has been accepted by Celtic, and that QPR have given Hooper deadline of Sunday to get the deal done.

He has the potential to become a legend at our club - how many of the other clubs would offer him that?

There are so many 'sources' on twitter saying various things that I wont believe this until its official.

Some yesterday said he is signing now, others today said it would be announced this afternoon.

    Hope it happens though!

    Tomorrow is a Thursday....

People are just taking a guess in the hope they will be proved right. I could say it will be official by the w/e.

If only Cerny was still around, we'd have this communicated well in advance without all of the current idle speculation.

What's more every thread would be rated 5* too!

I was just reading a Celtic message board to see what their reaction was to his possible transfer to QPR.

To say they are deeply insulted that one of their best players is leaving such a massive club to join little old QPR in the Championship is an understatement. Yes, they have to qualify to earn the right to play in the CL but I would rather play against Barnsley than St Mirren on a weekly basis. The penny hasn't dropped that the SPL is a rubbish league and that is why Hooper is leaving them. The Championship is far superior.

I watched their game tonight against Cliftonville on TV. I hope they spend the Hooper money (irrespective of who buys him) wisely as Antony Stokes is absolute rubbish. They badly need another forward for their CL qualification campaign.

They are not a happy bunch!! A lot of them think we have a great chance of coming straight back up too.
