Completely idiotic as there are so many ways around any blocks out there, very easily! I agree that companies want to protect their investments into the sport, but trying to block something in effect when the horse has bolted is stupid.

Better if they moved with the times and offered legal streams for a few quid a game would bring in far more money when you look at it worldwide. A million people watching a game for the entire world would bring in far more money than what they are getting now. And lets face it most people would go for that rather than the hassle of trying to get a decent stream.

I not sure how they can stop it 100% but as you say ,if the availability was there to live stream games into your home on a pay per view basis im sure many would be happy to pay, it can be a total pain in the arse to scope the net for dodgy streams!

I pay for all premier league games live £19 per month, I also get championship games,fa cup, italian and other leagues and channels. I can watch all the swans games live and if I want I can watch it again straight after or play another premier league fixture instead.

It may be an issue a little bit in the UK because it could maybe affect crowd attendences but im sure there can be a solution :)

NFL have got it right, you can pay to have every game live on your laptop and you can watch them again throughout the remainder of the season, or you can pay just to have your favourite teams games streamed. Don't know why the PL haven't offered the same service

Well I subscribe to Sky Sports again, simply because I can't be asked to try and find streams of the games. But I would pay money to get live streams of the games instead

One thing Sky do well it when they have game of the day, and if your not the main game you can then see extended highlights at 10.15 ish. Considering how much I pay for my Sky, why they can't put all games on the red button live is so we can watch them live.

Exactly there is to many websites that offer this, all they have to is register a new domain and then it takes months and months to get another one banned

I've just found it my local is gonna get one of those boxes, but just show the Swans games. Of course, I'm not telling you lot which pub that is because it might get too busy for me to watch!

As for the Premier league forcing the ISPs, if they transmit any sort of stream, it will be hijacked. If they lock down their encryption to the two individual (BT and SKY) companies, it could be a problem. It all falls down when they admit they're on the take from various betting companies, foreign TV channels, etc.

Now I'm not condoning illegally watching the games, but a guy in the pub who heard from his uncle's sister's friend said that if you were to install Firefox Web Browser and any third party ip hiding or proxy changing addon, you could pretend to be in any country you like and bypass UK ISP control. Not me though.
