    another one of phil browns stars off the future gone to celtic on a free.

    I think it was rumoured £2.5 mil but also rumoured we made a profit on the sale or at least got the money back.

    We signed him for around £2m and sold him for £2.5m, so made £500k profit if those figures are true

    To be honest didnt think he was that bad, would have him over Macca or Bruce.

    Not really, I think it was about £1.8m (which depending on how you viewed that season, was either really cheap or average priced) and he turned out to be pretty good, probably our best centre half once Turner left the club.

    He seemed to show some real passion for club and had some decent games...think he headed a blinder against Chelsea in the glorious week that we also beat Man City. Don't know why he did not get any games at Wolves..guess the injury played its part but still young enought to show some form.
