Peter Crouch turns down QPR move PETER CROUCH has turned down the chance to renew his double act with Harry Redknapp. By Dave Armitage/Published 17th July 2013 The QPR boss wants to sign the former England striker for a FIFTH time but Crouch says heâs happy at Stoke. Rangers are poised with a £6m bid for the 6ft 7in striker but look likely to miss out. Redknapp is a massive Crouch fan, having signed the hitman for Tottenham, Southampton and twice for Portsmouth. But the 32-year-old, who has commanded almost £50m in transfers at 10 clubs, is set to turn his back on Rangers. âIâm more than happy here and the family is settledâ Peter Crouch Glamour model wife Abby Clancy publicly grumbled about moving north when Stoke smashed their club record to fork out £10m to get him from Spurs two years ago. But Crouch says his family are now happy in Cheshire. Crouch says life under new Potters boss Mark Hughes is great and heâs happy to stick around. Crouch said: âIâm more than happy here and the family is settled. As long as the manager is happy and I am, then I donât think thereâs anything to be done.â
I think there are older, more experienced players we should be targeting to supplement our wet behind the ears forward line. Tom Finney anyone?
Thanks but no Thanks, never rated him how he even became an international player is beyond me, cant run cant control a ball.the only thing going for him is his Mrs is well fit
I'm thinking the truth may be that we weren't going to pay stupid wages to him so he's obviously thought that there was no need in changing if the money was about the same.
I guess he missed out enjoying all that clear Austrian mountain air. please log in to view this image In his time was quite quite the prolific England goalscorer though? Peter Crouch keen to show he has X-factor in England starting audition Striker has scored 20 goals in 37 international games 'Hopefully my record will stand me in good stead' http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/may/21/peter-crouch-england-world-cup please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I find that quite a bizarre comment to be honest. I remember watching him down the R's and wondering how technically gifted he was. Especially being 10t tall. He was a great controller and passer of the ball. And I bet if he was asked, he would much prefer the ball being played into his feet rather than punted up in the air to him!! And it nobody can question his goals to games ratio for England....
Anyone remember England v Portugal in the 2006 WC? Crouch played up front on his own after that **** Rooney got sent off and would have been MOM had it not been for Hargreaves running himself silly. Brilliant hold-up play. Never understood how Rooney didn't get vilified in the same way Beckham was for a similar act.
This article stinks of complete BS to me, if it were true you'd have thought some other news outlet would have picked up on it by now. I'm gonna go out on a limb (a very long Crouchy one) and say I bet he'll be an R again before the start of the season.
