But then, the point of a football team is having fans to watch them. If they got no fans, what would they be playing for? If they won the Premier League but had an average attendance of 10, it wouldn't mean anything to the players because they thrive off our support. Teams are buoyed by support and feel the pressure when the fans are on their backs; nobody should underestimate the effect supporters have on players and from a business point of view the effect on the club. Fans buy programmes, tickets, food and drink, merchandise, sponsorship (sometimes), corporate packages and other things besides. That revenue might not seem significant in a world of multi millionaire owners, but without it, we'd struggle massively.
I've rarely known someone delete any or even some of their posts before - perhaps he has said too much about himself that may come back to haunt him. Either way he's a baffoon.
He didn't say anything that gave himself away that I could see, I think he is like a few on here fed up of people twisting what is said or belittling other users posts
The club has done fantastic transfer business for the PL and dont forget that Brady and Meyler are a part of the summer spend. I dont think we are finished and lets just enjoy seeing who and what arrives between now and 1st sept. I dont think that the Allams will start taking back there money just yet. But if they are who can blame them. We have a squad here now that is more than good enough for the PL.
One shouldn't assume. On the subject of where revenue comes from. I think the figure given out by the club around the time we first got promoted to the Championship was that fans were only expected to be the (direct) source of around 30% of the club's revenue. Given we now get about 10 times the TV/prize money we were due to get that season fans will likely be about 5% or less.
