Posh people like Nass go in Club Riff raff like the rest of us go in either Tatts or Best Mate - but we allow Nass to come slumming It was my first time last year Ste - and although it was a fantastic experience, I did feel a bit of envy at the view the Best Mate enclose has, and would consider going there if I go back next year
I actually go on the Members roof Club has the best views, more grassy space and better bars. Best Mate is too far separated from the parade ring and that is a major issue for me.
Yes!! Fantastic news!! Ste I have used all areas in the past and it depends on what you want from the experience. As a first timer I would recommend going Club. Getting to see the horses close up is a great experience and you may get a few pointers from the beasts condition etc. However, if like me you pretty much have your mind made up before you get to the course and want to spend the time between races getting s**tfaced I can't recommend the Best Mate enclosure highly enough. Wherever you go, the atmosphere is amazing!!
Yes except for Gold Cup day on the Friday which is normally a sell out. Although you can get a ticket off a tout! I have been every day except the Wednesday. The Thursday is by far the quietest day and enables you to queue up for drinks with ease and walk around the rails bookies with no problem. Friday is ridiculously busy - 10 deep at the bar etc... be prepared to queue. Best Mate enclosure has the best atmosphere with a live band coming on before proceedings start and other entertainment. !! Club enables you to have more space but you pay a lot more for it and you dont get other entertainment and such a good atmosphre there in my opinion.
