Although I do understand Coventry fans not wanting us to head to Northampton on Sunday 11 August I don't mind not attending and listen to the radio instead, but I would not be happy to hear on the radio that there were a sprinkling of Coventry fans at Sixfields. Bite the Bullet every one and head for Northampton on Sunday August 11th
I work with a Coventry fan (in Dorchester) He said Coventry fans were delighted that we were going to boycott the game (he is not going until the team goes back to Coventry)
From what ive read on the main site a lot are still going its only a little away end too 700 ive read elsewear
The last time i went to watch City play at the Ricoh, I think most fans thought the Coventry supporters were already boycotting back then as it was always mad to have a large stadium but away supporters sometimes out numbered the home supporters with chants of "your supposed to be at home". This has always been my concern for us when there was talks of moving to ashton vale and who would actually own the stadium and what that meant
Won't miss much sixfields is dull and in a retail park. Watched city win there and it was still a waste of a day. The old county ground was much more fun. Only have to look at the bubbles Malay FC and MK to see that some will always go but it also explains why the EPL sky and owners will do as they please. Go nothing changes. Easy game to miss.
I will give this game a miss even though it is closer to me than Coventry anything that encourages the owners of Coventry is a bad thing
Wont be going, wasn't going anyway, been there, didn't like it. However if I had not made a visit previously I still wouldn't. Our attendance only encourages poor ownership.
Wasnt planning on going and after recent events certainly wont be now. I feel sorry for the fans, it's always them that suffer, never the blinkered and selfish owners
Anyone who attends games for Coventry are just encourageing the owners of CCFC to ride roughshod over every one in their desire to **** on Coventry the Club The City and the fans and although I have no special interest in CCFC I don't think that fellow football fans should encourage such actions from owners. These are my opinions and not those of NOT606 so if the owners of CCFC want to sue bring it on they do love litigation that lot.
I won't be going. Apparently the plan by CCFC owners was to move to Northampton in order force the owners of the Ricoh to go bust - this has not happened - now big ego's are involved, so when an offer was made by an ex-Director to pay for the Ricoh for 3 years the clubs owner turned it down flat. The Football League need to do something.
meh I am still probably going to go but seeing that no-one else is going I won't have to queue up for a pie or a pint
The blokes behind when the moon shines won't be running coaches. YSC/ Shem tours ...Probably a no. Won't be much of a atmosphere minus that lot.
Definitely won't be going. I remember going mental and getting pissed with CCFC fans in '77. They need all the help in the world right now. 'The Football League need to do something' - Would like to think so but can't imagine that lot getting their hands dirty.
I THOUGHT CCFC WERE GIVEN A FREEBY SEASON? Time to sort things out properly................ Stadium owners should maybe be in charge of ticket sales, then rent is paid.....!
