I've seen this mentioned two or three times now. What about him? Would he fit (and could we afford him?). http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/watford-striker-troy-deeney-wanted-by-hull-8709213.html
I have to say I was impressed with him when they beat us at the KC. Is he one of the type of players that raised his game due to the raft of imports in the Watford side and was he a beneficiary of the sheer number chances that Watford created? I'd take a chance on him if he was affordable and we could still get an Odemwingie or Le Fondre.
just signed a 5yr deal recently , guessing how the Pozzos work I`m sure if you offered £15m they would consider it I think Troy still feels he owes watford for standing by him whilst he was inside , I would be shocked and a little upset if he left.
No footballer owes a thing in the face of an upwards step. If he was to leave you'd get a sizeable fee for him anyway which would make up for anything.
I would take Troy Deeney, as you need that unsportsman-like, cheating dirty little git to annoy the top defenders and make them make mistakes. If he didn't cost anymore than £6m and he didn't demand more than £20k in wages, then yeah definitely. He knows where the goal is.
I think you're thinking of the wrong player. Can't remember deeney being an unsportsmanlike dirty cheating little git. Not any time recently any way.
Not a big fan of TD. Decent footballer, but dislike his character from what I've seen and heard. Norwayhornet: // Storebror i öst
Looks clean(ish), Bob. http://www.watfordfc.com/team/player-profile/index.aspx?playerid=374331&tcmuri=194620
I do, against us at the KC was one (I think). Although that could just be because I was pissed off that we lost. EDIT: Although 9 yellows and 1 red in 50 games is rather bad for a forward.
Forwards get yellow cards for taking their shirt off, or going into the crowd after scoring. Number of yellows doesn't necessarily make him a dirty player
Good player but not worth anywhere near £6m even in todays over inflated market - a bit of a **** though - sarcastic clapping to East Stand at end of their win at the KC was uncalled for. As for likes of Le Fondre - yes when he was at Rotherham and we were in the NPC but not good enough for the PL - was a good impact sub but soon as Reading played him from the off he was ****e.
