Never wanted him but its only a 1 year deal with a get out clause if he gets injured again. Thats perhaps the best I could hope for apart from not signing him.
Excellent signing for us imo! Great leadership, solid centre back, works tirelessly and will definitely bring organisation and stability to the back four, if he stays fit that is! Real old school tony Adams type player who will motivate others to give their all.....
Regardless of what he looks like, that's one mighty fine looking home shirt he's holding up there! Best we've had in a long time!! And it looks like a change of tack from harry on the transfer front! It now looks like we're no longer interested in top, top players. We only want very, very good players in the championship....... ;-)
No he doesn't - more worn, but not older! If fact he has the head on him of a County Level Hurler from Biffoville - which in my mind is a good thing and the kind of head we are looking for. The ol' dog for the hard road. Welcome aboard Dick Dunne. I hope it is a successful relationship!
Has just been mentioned on RTE sport bulletin.....we can probably expect a lot more mentions on the radio & tv over here than most of the other championship sides put together during the coming season especially if he manages to stay fit.....
Agree a good signing, and a great looking shirt for next season. And it also means Anton Ferdinand is one step further away from playing in the first team. That is good news. One more CB please and we can let him go.
Feel as indifferent as I did when we signed Hill and Derry. Must be good news then Thinking about it I'm very satisfied with this piece of business, lot of interest in him apparantly and the deal seems right on every level. Good work Harry, Phil and Tony
Also as the article says, he averaged 47 games a season for the last seven seasons (not including last season). That is a good record.
