I share the same concern regarding pdc, i found myself wishing he would shut his gob a couple of times now, i've made no secret of this, i think he'll learn quickly though! And for the record i took discos comment as a sweeping statement marra not a direct attack on bardo more the fact that alot of footballers are in fact that
Disco see what your saying about SAF the thing is he did it in house 90%of the time PDC has kept on doing it in public since he came and that's my issue.
I know what you mean. I think that's just him trying to prove himself as let's face it. He has a lot to prove!
Wasn't it Bardsley's goal that got us a point, which then meant Wigan needed to beat Arsenal or we would stay up?
If you have that attitude towards players then don't ever moan if they ask for more money or put a transfer request in to move to QPR, its a two way street.
I don't mate, I defend players from Dean Whitehead to Danny Graham as they wear the red and white. I understood when Mignolet went - its football. What I don't understand or appreciate is why Bardsley did what he did. He was in a group of players watching the match.....only Kilgallon and himself broke the curfew and stayed out after 12 midnight.......then he did a rash act that only an idiot or someone drunk would not realise that somebody may take a photograph that would result in a very topical and newsworthy topical article in a national photograph. Bardsley knew what PDC was like yet he could not be mature enough to accept the football club rules. Didn't someone on here actually say they were worried the PDC may not be able to sign players.....................perhaps they meant players like Bardsley, putting a few beers and a night at a casino before our club.
When a poacher turns gamekeeper he knows the tricks of the trade. What we don't have is Bardsley's version of the follow up. If he does go, then we are paying out for a replacement or Gardner is pencilled in that slot. Or Colback, which is maybe why he is allegedly unhappy.
I'm with Cest on this one, people will sell their soul to see a new signing at the expense of a player.
I think we all agree in that Bardsley was in the wrong, what we can't seem to agree on is how our club treats players of long standing at our club. Just feel, while PDC is in the good books nothing he does is judged and people will see blood for some new signings. As said before, let's move Bardsley on but with a bit of decorum.
It'd be interesting to know the entire story behind Bardsley's "training with the kids" - it could be one of so many things but the Mirror decide to put a spin on that he's being treated badly - when, in fact, for all we know, he could've asked to stay behind to prepare for his leaving the club or it could've been the request of the potential new club that he didn't travel around the world - so many ifs and buts. I loved Bardsley on form but last season he was absolute gash - I have supported him 100% since he joined and loved watching him play but he looked way off the pace last season under both managers. I'm gutted it hasn't worked out for him and wish him the best - but I would love to hear all sides of the "training with the kids" story before making a judgement
Agree about the outbursts mate and the Phil Brown bit but, as one lad has said he will learn lets hope it's sooner rather than later.
I have the whole thread and I can see both sides but at the end of day PDC is the manager, he was hired as such and he must do as he sees fit. Will he be right all the time? Of course not, im not and im sure nobody is but mistakes and more importantly how we learn from them teach us how to be better. Bardsley broke the rules, he knew the rules and he still did it. To me and to PDC based on the Pride in the Shirt and proud to play for Sunderland speech this shows none of that and being one of the older lions in the pack PDC has to show total management and control. Im not a PDC lap dog but we have the guy as a manager and ill back him on this. Results on the pitch will determine if he does it right or wrong for me.
i think if the pictures hadnt been all over twitter and the net then it might have been handles in house. because it was out there in the public domain pdc felt the need to publicly condem bardos actions. if bardo had then went and apoligised instead of running to the players union he could had a future here
Treated badly? he must be loving it, he is still getting paid, he can still train, he can go home everyday to see his family and his agent will be sorting out a move for him. PDC has done the right thing, he has sent out a message to everyone. It had to be done. Bardo will be fine, he will move on and will be fine.
