    Dunne ................. over 30, a crock and on 60K a week ................ joining QPR. What a perfect fit! `

Seriously though, if we can get him at a reduced rate and keeps fit, hopefully, we can get the best out of him.
Consider all the issues we've had with players coming in over the past two years .................. surely the odds are now in our favour to have a win ................ or am I completely deluded.

Dunne reported as resisting a pay as you play deal and may go to Doncaster instead on a £30k per week deal. Fine with me. Off you go mate.

Provided we get rid of Anton and his wages are on a pay as you play or no more than £30 grand then I think it's a great deal. He'll be a firm fans favourite within a week. He'll teach Onouha all he needs to know. Fingers crossed for me.

David Mc saying that a one year deal for Dunne has been done and he will sign today. Not sure if its a PAYP or a fixed wage per week though. I'm very pleased about this.

Dunne to join QPR on one-year contract

    15/07/2013
    By David McIntyre
QPR have agreed the signing of Republic of Ireland defender Richard Dunne on a one-year contract.

The centre-back, a free agent after being released by Aston Villa, is expected to formally complete his move to Loftus Road later today.

An Achilles injury meant Dunne, 33, did not make a single appearance for Villa last season, but he returned to action in an international game against Georgia in June.

Dunne, who has also had spells at Manchester City and Everton, is expected to be named in the squad for Rangers’ pre-season trip to Austria this week.

Great signing on a 1 year deal

Both him and Simpson will strengthen our defence considerably and I think we're taking the right steps forward in terms of contract lengths and free transfers.

Here's hoping for a few more steals

No mention of this on the last sports report on Irish radio, which surprises me due to his high profile here. May not be as clear cut yet, someone issues to be sorted out.

I think a fit Dunne will be very good signing and on 1year deal prefect. He is the kind of player that will also add a lot to the dressing room and training

I've already said, I think Nedam needs someone along side with some more experience this year to run the line, if the wages are right a single year deal seems like a good option to me. Dunne and Hill can cover each other, we need another or Anton to back them up then we are good. I'm thinking Mbia will be last ditch cover if still here.

I'd like a trainee as well but I'd be almost happy with CD.
