    I'd like to see another Striker added, with all the deadwood going! No rush though, but tomorrow will do!.................<laugh>

    "Or a loan from an overloaded "big" Club".

    I wasn't aware that Cardiff had any surplus strikers,Swim.

    I expect Ben's being considered as CB in future (esp if Ash moves on);
    and/or, a Gareth Barry-type role

    Wales's back four could be all Swans for the next couple of campaigns. (Ash,Ben,Neil,Jazz).

    Don't like the idea of Leon being dropped to the bench. We always seem to be a worse team when he's not playing.

    Quite right Nifta. Leon has been our heartbeat for some time. But I think we have become too reliant on him and need to have alternatives up our sleeve.

    We now have a big squad and are not reliant on people having to play all the time and tiring themselves out or risk serious injury. But every club moves on and if somone is playing better than Leon the bench it is and i think Canas is probably ahead of him at the moment, but what a nice headache for ML to have.

    I would agree normally but the pre season performances of Shelvey and Canas can't be overlooked. We lost midfield against den hag 2nd half. Maybe because Leon is recovering

    Leon has been undroppable for us during his time with us, and quite rightly so as he has been the heartbeat of the team. However, what a player to come on as a tactical sub if we are winning a tight game to keep possession of the ball in the last 25mins or so. Don't think we will see much of him in the Europa League, however, I expect to see him playing against the big teams, provided of course he is on his game and his on form. The great thing about the midfield crop that Laudrup as brought together, is that everybody in that area is now droppable if they are not performing to the highest standard possible, and that is something we will really benefit from next season <ok>

    I am just waiting for this tide of optimism over the 2 team theory to change after an undoubted run of bad games to, "He is tinkering too much. He needs to decide on his best team and stick with it!"

    Fickle folk we are!!

    It will be all Huw's fault for not signing them quick enough for Laudrup to work with them to get them familiarised with each other <laugh>

    Spot on. If we have someone we're comfortable playing in front of Britton, I know it'll be weird, but that's a great situation and one heck of a sub to bring on as you say. Will definitely help us close games out.

    Now if we can play against no-league teams every week we'll have a hatful Look what happened when we came up against a full time team - 1 bloody nil. Bony missed some easy chances and Lamah couldn't cross a hot bun!!!:emoticon-0105-wink:
    just getting everyone conditioned!!
