I still think Judas is a good player, but not really what they need. But I can imagine the reception he will get when he comes to the SoL in B&W...

I'll piss myself laughing mind if they do sign Judas? Desperation or what? If he was still any use, why would Villa take a cut price deal on him?

He will get absolutely ****ing slaughtered at the SOL and probably do a little wee wee of fear in the centre circle. ;)

I've been having a good laugh at how some of the mags have been changing their tune over the last few weeks, suggesting that Bent will be a good signing. Some of them have taken to the moral high ground, suggesting that rejecting Bent because he played for the mackems isn't a reasonable position to hold.

Let us not forget that agent Mike knows best. ;)

To be fair mate, Villa have threatened Benteke with training with the reserves.

Seems Lambert is a bit of an idiot.

I won't fear Bent signing for them, his heart won't be in it, they won't like him, and he is average now anyway.

He'll get them 10-15 like, if he's fit, which he rarely is now.

It looks like we threw all our eggs into one basket with Aubameyang when in reality we should have knew we wouldn't have any chance with Dortmund interested. Bent would be a massive improvement on Shola who looks like he's leaving, so I'd welcome him here but it's still a bit underwhelming.

To be fair, I'd be a bit pissed off at Benteke PP if he treated me like a doormat after one season in English football so Lambert is fully justified in snubbing him imo.

Judas is a confidence player and needs to feel the love to sparkle. Its why he struggled at Spurs as a lot of their fans didn't rate him. When he came here, we took him to our hearts and he revelled in that warmth and was a top class striker.

The Villa fans never took to him and he struggled; a huge slice of the goon army will NEVER take to an ex mackem and he will find himself isolated again as he is at Villa now and was a t Spurs. He wont enjoy his time up here again as much and will get pelters from both sets of fans now. Its a massive error in judgment from Pardeaux and an even bigger one from the player.

If he had any sense he would try to orchestrate a move to new moneybags Fulham and go back to London not the NE. However, like I first said, I'll ****ing piss myself if he does go to the craas and then listen to them justify a move not many of them will privately relish?

How does it work though? Him and Cisse are similar in my eyes, it's a very odd pairing.

Bent also likes to be the 'top boy', which he won't be as you have several superior player, it seems like a really odd move, unless Cisse is to leave, of course.

Lovely principles mate, but would Lambert not have done better top sit the lad down and try and convince him to give it a year and see if the young lads improve, rather than issue an ultimatum?

Benteke could have a lesser impact, and lose the chance of the big move, I don't see that he's done too much wrong.

    Villa or Spurs mate?

Read my post above. This will be a massive mistake form all parties and to see your lot scratching around the bargain basement looking for mackem rejects, will not go down well with the rest of the goon army. Its embarrassing to say the least. It would be like us chasing Owen and trying to tell everyone its a great signing? It isn't and will end in tears.

    I will love it....just love it...lol

How do you know he hasn't already done just that though mate? I congratulate a manager that takes a stance against these jumped up kids who think they have cracked iut after 12 months. He was given the chance by Villa and should have stuck by them for one more season but privately maybe said he wanted a move if one came up this summer which the club could not turn down, or next summer which would have given Lambert plenty of time to find a replacement.

Don't see any sense in putting him in the reserves. It's cutting off your nose to spite your face imo. I'd much rather sit the player down and tell him that 'unless a silly offer is comes in you're going nowhere. You've signed a contract and for the time being you will honor it. We'll consider selling you next summer for the right price so it's in your own best interests to perform this season if you want to maintain a chance of a big move. Your transfer request is rejected, that will be all. Thank you.'

Seen somewhere that Roma are interested in Bent. Waiting to see if there`s other interest.

If only this could be true kidda. I'm afraid that unless you are SAF and manage Man Utd, this sort of tough stance doesn't work. Look at Odemwingie and the carry on with him being told he isnt going anywhere and is refused permission to talk to QPR then turns up in their car park trying to engineer a move anyway?

Clubs simply have no power and its all about the players wants not the clubs.
