I'm laid up for a few days so just wondering what sports books are worth reading? doesn't have to be about QPR. just finished an American football book called " friday night lights" which was excellent.
any suggestions I can download to my phone? cheers.

Mate for a bit of light reading and fun, you cannot beat:
Stop the ride I want to Get off- by Dave Courtney (yeah the gangster) I was in stiches all the way through
    Also Iron Mike - Tyson
Daley Thompson auto biog - before your time?
    Mersons and beckhams were crap
you like boxing don't you. Calzaghe's book is supposed to be quite good.

Daley Thompson is a good call. I wouldn't mind reading that myself.
Apparently, so it is said, Daley was so sporty he would of been one of the best at any sport he had chosen. He was so good at tennis he would've possibly won Wimbledon if he had gone down that route. The only other person who I've heard spoken about like this ( modern times ) was Pete Sampras. He could've been a top downhill skier, a basketball player, swimmer or golfer among others.

Sir Steve Redgrave's autobiography's excellent, and if you can get past the Christianity, so is Jason Robinsons. The best one I've ever read though is probably Martin Johnson's. can you imagine being a full time policeman, and a top level sportsman at the same time?

Inky.....a bit topical seeing as the ashes have started try "Penguins stopped play" by Harry Thompson, a light hearted read about a club cricket side touring various parts of the world....
