Recently, Quinny said he was worried about our transfer dealings. Anyone think he might have to eat his words? Nowt against him mind, but I think this is the most exciting bunch of signings I've seen
I do not think he said it at all in a way where if it does happen he will be all smug and out with the I told you so bollocks who knows we are Sunderland, when things look good something brings us back down to earth definitely looking like we are after quality I just hope their is truth in Perruzi, Rose, Huddlestone, Mavrias and Giaacherini and we get them in in the next week. Anything else will be a plus as well as keeping Sess
Aye, you're probably right there Poolie. For me, it's gonna be a rollercoaster the first few games, but I can definitely see our goal scoring problems disappearing
First season might be a bit rocky. But i foresee this as being a success. We have the right people doing the right things. After the first season, things will settle and we will start to show ourselves as the sleeping giant thats awakening. Finally.
SNQ talked about integrating a lot of new players, probably thinking of the problems QPR had or has. What we have to hope is that all the pre-season training and games help to alleviate somewhat those issues. Although of course imho the home games we have at the for the firsrt few months do not help.
They were signing ego's though and seemingly at random. It seems we're assessing every little thing about each player before signing them. I have no concern that they won't come together!
I think the fact that they've got the players in early to get to know each other and to get used to playing together has alleviated a lot of concerns. I think if we had signed a boatload of players on deadline day when the season had already started and they are trying to get to know each others style in competitive games and results were not going our way, then.....that would be a different matter! As it stands.......i think we're playing a blinder this transfer window! 😊
I feel that Quinn didn't leave in the best of circumstances and he has a bit of a bee in his bonnet regarding us at the moment...I really hope he can get over it and start being positive about us again...It will be interesting to hear what he has to say about us if we get off to a flyer!!
I can understand his concerns. With so much happening so quickly, probably the same concerns as ours tbh. Bearing in mind his history and his feelings for this club, can`t see him staying negative for long.
