It'd be strange ending on a round 1,000. We normally have a few extras.

I don't think anyone denies that the earths climate is changing, the question some people are asking is how much is man made. The earth's climate was changing way before man arrived on the scene, so how do sandal wearers explain that.

The other point is that with your Chinas and russia's polluting the atmosphere on an idustrial scale a few windmills here and an electric car there won't make a blind bit of difference. So rather than condemn Ukip supporters as some sort of backward thinking flat earthers, you should remember they were right about the euro and are right about how useless and costly "green energy" is .

If you recall, Labour and the Tories didn't want the Euro either. That's why we don't have it.

As for "green energy", solar power and nuclear power (yes, that's green) are hugely effective, and their benefits are already being demonstrated in some countries such as Germany and the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, "green power" is hardly more expensive than other forms because it's exempt from pollution taxes and electricity companies guarantee that they'll buy an equal amount of green power as is being used by their customers. Wind power worldwide is growing by 30% per year, and solar power is becoming more efficient and cheaper all the time with advancements in technology such as graphine. Eventually the world will run on "green energy" because there is no alternative. To oppose it is idiotic at this point.

We do and it would be churlish to change with tradition. But you're getting a new one before I end my day, and I'm retiring soon.
