• Best Rookie (Gutierrez, Bottas, Van Der Garde , Bianchi, Chilton): I had him in Sweeps, and he got me a damn sight more points than I thought he would, so VDG.
• Best Team: Lotus, should be RBR but nearly killing a cameraman is a big no no

• Most Surprising Result: Alonso finishing the race but not appearing on the podium

Best Driver: Vettel
Worst Driver: On balance for the weekend, probably Chilton. I believe Massa suffered some mechanical glitch but it seems to me he becomes mentally overloaded too easily when things aren't right, which may have contributed to his early retirement; which is why he gets a mention here.
Best Rookie: Probably Bianchi
Best Team: Lotus
Worst Team: Marussia
Best Overtake: Hamilton > Button. There were also others; not least Perez > Maldonado. In these situations, Maldonado can be amongst the most erratic of drivers, which gives further credit to Perez on this occasion. However, the battle which resulted in Alonso finally overcoming an incredible defence from Hamilton (by that stage, on well-worn tyres), is definitely worth a mention.

Funniest-moment: Bianchi's secret is out: his Marussia is radio controlled!
Most Surprising Result: Pit lane incident: surviving the impact of a runaway wheel is possible.
Least Surprising Result: Pit lane incident: it is no surprise that this has finally occurred. Indeed, it is very surprising that F1 has not had some pit-lane catastrophe but this reflects very well upon the measures in place; not least, the pit lane speed limit…

Special Mention to: Hulkenberg
Race Rating: 8.55/10
Best Commentator/Presenter: Ben Edwards/David Coulthard/Martin Brundle. What a shame Edwards and Brundle don't bat for the same team. Croft is irritating in the extreme, which makes the BBC pairing much better.

Worst Driver: Chilton
Best Rookie (Gutierrez, Bottas, Van Der Garde , Bianchi, Chilton): Gutierrez but they were all had pretty mediocre weekends.
Best Team: Lotus
Worst Team: Mercedes

Best Overtake: Hamilton on Button
Funniest-moment: Nothing of note on the BBC's highlights show
Most Surprising Result: McLaren being quite quick compared to recent races
Least Surprising Result: Merc's tyre issues

Worst Driver: Chilton. He clearly is not an F1 driver

Worst Team: Lotus... best car, but ruined their chances of the win by pitting Kimi so late. Also, sort your f***ing radio.

Funniest-moment: It was serious, yeah, but I did chuckle when the guy got hit by the wheel. Felt guilty til they said he was alright, then I youtubed it immediately. Most Surprising Result: Button's pace
Least Surprising Result: Webber could have challenged Vettel perhaps, but mysteriously had a terrible pit-stop...
Special Mention to: Vettel, to be honest. I personally think that was one of his best performances.

Normally I would totally agree.... but when somebody has the opportunity to pick Bernie's pocket... I say 'Have at it'!

 

I have to mention the odd name every now and then, lest more modesty looks wrong. Alternatively: we must then and now be not immodest in speaking even names as yours for fear it appears of conceit – so if you get my drift you can't be Croft because unlike you, he is!
