Can anybody advise me on the missing names on this photo. I do know all the people but my memory is not as good as it used to be! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...965982417.1073741825.822292416&type=1&theater
Ive often wondered, is that an actual photo of you in your avatar Peter? It makes me feel a little uneasy. I was going to say no offence, but if it is how can you not take that as an offence?
It was a joke Pete. I was born in 83 so I don't stand a chance. I just read on another thread today somebody moaning about new city supporters and it must be because we're in the prem. it's so pathetic that city fans think they're more of a fan because they stood on the terraces at booth ferry park than the kid that buys his first ticket now they're in the prem. idiots!
But an older fan is more of a fan than a new one buying his first season pass. It's ****ing obvious. The new fan through no fault of his own is exactly that - A NEW FAN. Serving his apprenticeship and as yet untested by multiple relegations, years and years in the doldrums, seasons over by Christmas etc. Lucky him. When he's witnessed all the mind-numbing dross and bitter disappointment that anyone 40 (or even 30) has , theh he may join the elite body of time-served Hull City supporters. Until then he's warmly welcomed with the proviso that he doesn't attempt to tinker with the core product to suit ephemeral and transient girlish whims (PS this applies to owners too)
Apprenticeship! Fook me! Like tickler said everyone starts somewhere. Everyone of my mates who are city supporters through and through only became city fans once they could afford to go them selfs. We were all taken by our parents as youngsters but all kids wanna do (in my case) is be like lineker, Hughes, robson, gazza, and nowadays be like ronaldo, bale, messi, Suarez. It's only success that makes new supporters come out of the woodwork but they shouldn't be made to feel like less of a fan.
My support started the other way round. I went to a reserve match and then I read that City were going to play Everton in the Cup. My dad took me to that match but I would go on my own after that match.
To expand on the above. He had his foot poised to tap the ball forward at the kick-off but the referee delayed blowing his whistle and kept checking everybody was ready. During this prolonged delay, Mike started to lose balance and as he slowly fell over he was swinging wildly at the ball but failed to make contact.
