Venue change for opening away fixture.
City’s first away league fixture of season 2013/14 against Coventry City will be played at Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium.

The Football League today released a statement confirming its Board of Directors has approved Coventry to play their home matches in Northampton for “an initial period of three seasons”.

With Northampton due to face Newport County at home on August 10th – the same day City are due to play away at Coventry – the club awaits discussions with the Sky Blues with regards to a potential fixture change.
This will cause all sorts of Chaos not just for this game but regarding the rest of the league games the JPT, league cup and FA cup games.

Shame, I enjoyed a 100% record at the Ricoh since the FA Cup replay plus, I suspect that at least a couple of thousand would have gone whereas we can't get a lot of us in Sixfields

I can see Coventry going to the wall at this rate. They weren't getting good crowds anyway and a lot of fans wont want to drive to Northampton to see them every other week.

Wasn't so long ago they were a well and long established top flight team who also won the FA Cup in '87
