I used to get VO2 tested annually and asked the same question, turns out it's handy as often you get spatters of blood from the persons ear when taking samples for lactate testing.
That's uniform. I always wore one in the lab, even when not doing the messy stuff. Means you can wear really uncool clothes and no one can see. The army don't wear uniform only when fighting.
Lets not be unfair and heap huge expectations on the guy. Let him settle, give him time, judge him later.
Exactly, I have no idea how good he is going to be, but for now he seems like a nice guy, and that'll do for the minute until he starts playing.
Just because a player was good in one league, does not guarantee success in a new league with new team-mates and new tactics. It can be reversed and applied the same way with someone who has had a bad season. I'll only base my opinion of him in a Saints shirt. Off-the-pitch, from Twitter and the videos we have seen, he seems like a decent guy, I agree.
I shudder every time in pre season when these videos and photos of Solent University are on the OS. Brings back memories of me being in that very science lab a few years ago when I was doing my degree in Sports Science. Stewart Bruce-Low (the one who likes to say common) and Scott Burnett (ginger) are both twats the former will have such an ego trip about these videos. The lab coats are just what needs to be worn when in a laboratory. (health and safety's a bitch)
Mate, I don't know what the law is about this sort of thing but I think you should preface that lot with, "In my opinion" or something. Putting a statement like that out in the public domain is asking for trouble not only for you but possibly for this site.
What constitutes a twat is always an opinion...often just means that someone wouldn't do what you wanted.
I imagine this site has a disclaimer saying something along the lines of the views being posted are the poster's own. This site is built on countless 'footballer x is a twat' posts - and 'poster y is a cockwomble': not sure they would be too bothered about someone's opinion on a random lab technician.
