That'd be £5M down the Swannee, if true.

I'd hope PdC would get him properly fit and give him a run out. We gave bloody Darryl Murphy plenty of time FFS...

A very limited player, and a huge mistake

Swansea didn't have to sell him, yet sold him without a replacement coming in. That should have set alarm bells ringing

An act of desperation from MON. Maybe this was got Ellis thinking we need a change at the top.

buying players like Danny is what spurred Ellis on to sack the scouts and bring in his own guys. Thank ****

    Agree with this.
Poor with MON players/system but might be a big improvement under PDC and the new input.
If it still doesn`t work out sell in the January window.

One of our worst buys in recent history, on a par with Angeleri, Flo, Gareth Hall etc

Keep him to Jan, an if he hasn't scored a few, then sell. We are too threadbare to sell any more players just yet. I can't see him being on ridonkulous wages as per the Keano era...

I echo the thoughts above, pdc said he wants 5 strikers to choose from and we don't want to end up threadbare like last season. He we sold him now wed take a massive hit, players go for more in January and team get desperate (just like we did last year) I think we'll get a better deal in Jan than now so I think he'll stay for now.

i remember the nugent affair very well and its as biffa says, after keep us hanging on for months keano pulled out and nugent complained he was too impatient keano's reply was that if nugent thought that was hasty he did'nt know him very well.

He upset them last week fella, He's given Joe Kinnear two weeks off, a week into the job, so he can sun himself in Sardinia. <laugh>

I just dont get where people are coming from with Graham. He did the job he was asked to do to hold the ball up and introduce the midfielders and our score rate went up it is not always about scoring, for me he has done nothing wrong, he needs a strike partner that is not 40 yard further back down the pitch, and a pre season to get fit. Why not give the lad a chance... we gave flo, murphy, kyle, proctor, and marcus stewart to name a few longer before getting on their back... Marcus stewart proved all the doubter wrong in the end. Just needs some confidence and scoring a few in pre season against some no hopers will hopefully give him that

Before anyone attacks me im not saying that list of players should have been given time as to be fair they were a bunch of no hopers but time they got none the less!! sometimes it takes a little while for someone to settle in and once the first one goes in I could see him scoring a few.

With Jozy and Fletch, DG ain't gonna play many games. So he ain't gonna get many goals. Third choice at best. Just have to see if we can mug some desperate shower who need a striker. Ahem.......Ahem ( he wouldn't even have to move house)

I think after the first few games he lost interest. He stopped making himself space in the box and his movement outside the box was pathetic. Stoke and Southampton at home were diabolical performances. His best game for me was vs the mags strangely enough.

Worked his sox off against the mags, for sure. He was dead at the end though and that's why I'd like to see him "PdC fit" before we make a final decision on him.
