Liverpool should (but won't) go for Xabi Alonso.

  1. thinking about it, I think the third kit is worse but they are both really bad. The home shirts not much better either.

Personally I think the new home kit is the best one we've had since the 08/09 season. Considered getting it with Coutinho on the back but I might wait 'till the price drops a bit.

Sports Direct is usually good. If you dont mind padding Mike Ashley's pocket some more.

I also think it is a great home kit design. Best in years. I really liked last seasons to.

home kit is averagely good. i was very disappointed with the rag we produced last year having preordered. So i think i'd rather do high street myself......

the other kits are horrible..... simpsons moment.... worst... kits.... EVER!!!

I even include the horrible adidas white stripes, green puke ones and such frombthe 90s.

Back on topic, I would prefer a younger midfielder like Strootman to Alonso. Alonso is great, high profile and experience but could also be a short term siigning. Lets invest in the present and the future at the same time.

I kind of feel that if we signed Sahin again and saw him as a holding player and defensive mid cover instead of an attacking midfielder he could actually be successful. But he would have to settle for the bench behind Gerrard and Lucas.

  8. Depends what you're after. If you want super cheap then ebay is pretty good but they're from Hong Kong / thailand and take ages to arrive (I got the 2008-09 season home shirt with Torres, 9 and Premier League badges on for £22 including delivery), if you're happy with a fake (I'm not) then there are site for that too (try Triads). Other than that, Sports Direct <ok>

Xabi might well be off to Chavski, unfortunately. He's apparantly tempted by a move to London.

Bet's a good 'un for him going to Chavski and their money.

I wonder what Mourinho's return means for Essien's Chelsea future. He surely has to stay there now.

  11. Fair to say, I'll be gutted if Alonso goes to Chelsea and extremely disappointed if we don't try for him. However. I'll be pleased that he's back in England.

Essien's kinda **** now, way past it. He'll be on the bench at best for Chavski.

Alonso would be a nice buy for is. He is the deep lying playmaker that we are missing.

What do you think of Essien?

If you but Luiz as your midfield anchor and sign Alonso you could be very strong in the middle!

    ---------------------------Alonso---------
    --------------Oscar-----------------------
    -----Mata-----------------------Hazard-

Essien is no where near the level he used to be at. Could be useful as a squad player but can't see him playing very much next year.

That midfield looks nice. I think a player like Alonso would balance our midfield nicely. Our midfield was so disjointed at times last year but if anyone can fix that Mourinho can.

What do you think about strikers for you?

I think Mourinho can continue Rafa's work and continue to improve Torres.
