ahhh Gowerton Rugby Club in my home village, that takes me back.... used to love watching Gowerton play cricket in the 70's on the same ground. i went to Lords twice to see them in the final of the national village cricket competition. they won it the second time with my old school teacher Bob Evans (RIP) in the team, can't remember if Bill the groundsman/aged demon spin bowler was in the team when we won, but it was a great team of characters.
oh yes, i'll be watching tonights game in the FCC in HK, sadly no rissoles on the menu but pie, sausage and chips with decent ale awaits......
