Could probably have done a bit more reading on the players and looked into it before he commented.

He conveniently forgets Morgan's new five year deal. As you also say, he ignores Pochettino speaking English.

Then again the only coverage of that has been in-house content.

I wouldn't say clueless, he obviously knows a bit and a fair few people on here have questioned how we'd fit Wanyama and Banega in. He probably thinks he knows more than he does though. Sometimes a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Not sure why he finds it quite so bizarre that Schneiderlin has improved.....?

I'd play Schneiderlin in every single position on the pitch before Banega

Complete dick....Morgan is still our No1 midfielder even if we sign those talked about.
No better defensive midfielder in the premiership so why would we sell?

Bizarre, and variations, of it appear to be his favourite description. That said, I've read his pieces before and it's obvious he has a soft spot for Saints, in fact, he might even be a fan. He blows a little hot and cold, and so should do well in tabloid sports reporting, if he makes it that far. This story is pure invention in search of an article. Let's hope our very own sports stringer doesn't fall into the same trap and becomes a well respected sports journalist. I want to be able to say, I know that bloke from way back when he was just starting out..! ;)

Including ball boy and serving in the bar at the interval. The plan will have gone seriously wrong if Morgan doesn't end his career at SMS shrouded in medals and international caps. Very few players are irreplaceable; Morgan is one of those exceptions.

Well, at some level he's right. Us pursuing Wanyama/Banega probably does lead other teams to hope that we'll part with Schneiderlin. They're dead wrong, and for some reason everyone seems to forget we play TWO DM's so there's less of a squeeze than they think (or consider that maybe we'd part with Cork instead).

So yes, it does "give them hope." Ultimately it will prove to be a false hope, but that probably doesn't stop them from getting their hopes up anyway. Wouldn't surprise me if NC has refused to return some calls already.

Word of caution only: Morgan was fantastic last season, magnifique even and our best midfielder; however that has now gone and we have a new season upon us soon and he must do it all over again. This will be a big year for him. People now know who he is; he'll carry that statistic of best midfielder with him into every game and he'll carry a little more weight on his shoulders. Three seasons ago he did very well in league one, two seasons ago he fought his way into a championship side and looked good. Last season he matured into an incredible player and fulfilled lots of his potential but he still has more to give and doing it the second season can be tougher still.

    Long live Morgan the Magnifique!

I personally think poch wants to play 5 in midfield with wanyama and schneiderlin. Wanyama doing the box to box role was morgan sits back and protects the back 4. A free roler in front with two attacking wingers.

    I'm probably wrong.
