Confirmed on the website. Great signing. Only took a conversation with Jose and 24 hours later he signs. Moyes will never have that kind of allure, something which will cost them dear in the short-medium term until they replace him.
Wonder how Piazon and Josh are feeling about now ?? And we are supposedly intent on bringing on our young talent this season ?? Hope someone knows what they're doing cause I dont. That said, this kid is apparently very talented, so again, looks good for the future.
Agreed, McEachran has got Stoke City/Hull City written all over him, gauaranteed, by summer 2014. Which is a shame because he is a good player. But never mind
He's a great signing for Chelsea, but it's another nail in the coffin for your youth academy hopefuls.
The way I see it, is that if they were good enough, we wouldnt have to make these signings. Whether thats down to their own lack of talent or fundamental problems in the youth set up I dont know. But they have been in 4 of the last six FA youth cup finals, yet none of them seem to make the first team, so something is rotten in denmark
You can send Chalobah back to Watford for another season if you want... Going to be one hell of a player in a few years!
De Goey Melchiot - Boulahrouz - Bruma - PVA Robben - Van Ginkel - Ake - Zenden Gullit JFH Not too bad, and yes, Van Ginkel is already a better player than Winston Bogarde, as long as he gets on the pitch just the once
Transfer has been finalized this evening, Van Ginkel is signing a 5 year contract for Chelsea. The club pays around 9 million pounds for the midfielder and the total sum could increase with incentives and clauses. Link: http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3229499/title/van-ginkel-signs
We have a mutually beneficial arrangement with vittesse so we probably got a better price than say united or spuds would have got to play.
Van Ginkel's press officer stated today that it took a while to broker this deal because Van Ginkel wanted guarantees from Mourinho that he would be part of the first squad and not be loaned out like Lukaku, Bruma and De Bruyne. After Mourinho made his commitments to the player and showed his plans the 20 year old midfielder signed the contract. It could be me but I am extremely sceptical on this transfer. 1 I very much doubt he will get playing time. 2 he will definitely be loaned out, Mourinho will probably have no say in that. 3. He will not be able to develop his talent fully at Chelsea because of the lack of playing time compared to any other Dutch football club. In my opinion this is just another Dutch talent completely wasted in the youth academy/loanee system of an English football team. Prime examples being Bruma, Van Aanholt, Ebicilio and so on.
Vitesse IS our academy. Finishing school He may be loaned straight back to Vitesse or if he has a poor winter, in January.
Will be interested to see how good the lad is, I've never seen him play and knew nothing about him before we signed. He seems to get good reviews in Holland so I'll look forward to watching his development.
