Arrived late, someone was in my seat so plonked myself in a big empty section. Steward started threatening me, I pointed out if he does his job and gets my seat back I'll sit in it until then piss off. the 'ex SAS' (pffft) steward took offence to this, then Harry Bassett, Wise, Williams & Harvey come and sat next to me. THats why the seats were empty as Wise was on a touch line ban. Anyway, I said to Williams (who was the closest to me) you dont mind me being here, he said he didnt, Dennis Wise shook my hand & I eventally moved. About two spaces He was raging though. Proper thought he was a hard man. And Dennis Wise close up looks exactly like a wax work!
Hilarious Bucks. Tomorrow we can add 'strange things that have happened to you in a football ground' I quite liked Dennis Wise when he was in charge tbh. If I remember rightly, he stepped down, so did not get a pay off....
Would you Adam & Eve it, Williams has just gone to the wall and his touting Mike Grella again This weeks been just like one of those action films, where the star gets **** on by everyone all the way through until the last 10-minutes. Revenge and bodies and blood and body parts everywhere as we watch our hero kick some serious butt. Can't believe Haigh is the new Jason statham
Let's get one thing straight, Williams did NOT find Snodgrass for Leeds United. I know who let Leeds know all about Snodgrass and it most certainly was not Williams. I'm delighted this waste of space is gone and off the payroll, no need for 'yes' men to people like Bates.
Williams was purely a croney of Bates end of. Had no previous experience, but Bates looked after him. He was a school teacher FFS!! Now an interesting TRUE fact: Williams advised the Academy to get rid of Byram 2 or 3 seasons ago, reckoned in his over-rated opinion that Byram wasnt up to the grade to make it!!!! THAT says it all!! Total waste of space. Glad to see the back of him!
If memory serves Warnock wasn't the only one who didn't rate him, I'm pretty sure Grayson was constantly at loggerheads with him and expressed wonderment at what his actual role was.
Williams "actual" role was to tell managers the £350k signing they wanted was no good, and they should rather grab the free transfer bargain, e.g. Paynter. He also alerted clubs to the availability of players such as Gradel, Howson etc. He made sure players would not renew their contracts according to Bates wishes. Both him and Harvey had one agenda - profit for Bates, which meant nice salaries and bonuses for them. Williams and Harvey were two charlatans intent on one thing, filling their pockets doing Bates dirty work. Fcuk them both, they can go and do garage sales for Bates in Monaco. Williams came to Leeds with a decent rep, helped a bit in beginning when we only had two players, but then settled in to enforce Bates law. C ya ...
