I would prefer that we all promise not to worry about signings at QPR at all in fact see my comments below:
Russian side Kuban Krasnodar sign former Queens Park Rangers and French international Djibril Cisse on a one-year deal. The 31-year-old striker's contract has an option of a one-year extension. No financial details of the deal were disclosed. Last month Cisse parted company with QPR, relegated to the English Championship, "by mutual consent".
Blackburn Rovers have signed DJ Campbell on a free transfer. The experienced frontman makes a return to Rovers, signing a two-year deal following his release from Queens Park Rangers. The 31-year-old spent three months at Ewood Park at the end of last term, but his loan spell was cut short due to a foot injury.
Interesting list of those likely to go. No mention of Granero, Diakite, SWP, Adel, I wandered lonely as a Traore, ......
Transfer-listed Wolves midfielder Karl Henry tells the Express and Star he wants to stay at Wolves and fight for his place in League One. The 30-year-old has been put up for sale with Roger Johnson, Jamie O'Hara and Stephen Ward. "They turned down bids from Premier League clubs for me last summer and I signed a new long-term deal. Twelve months on, I'm training with the development team," he is quoted as saying. "I have not asked for any of this; it's not my decision and I would not have asked to go on the transfer list. "It's a shame that it's come to this and I'm gutted, but I've been in football long enough to know that this is what happens." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wouldn't mind Jamie O'Hara and Stephen Ward. Ward can play left back and is a good attacking option as well.
Former Chelsea and West Ham United striker Carlton Cole is understood to be at Selhurst Park discussing a deal with Crystal Palace, the Croydon Advertiser reports. The 29-year-old was released by the Hammers at the end of last season and has been looking to stay in the Premier League.
QPR move for Celtic striker Gary Hooper from under noses of Hull City and Norwich QPR chief Redknapp has opened talks to land the prolific marksman as he looks to spend money on turning round his team. Harry Redknapp is making a £5million raid for Celtic’s English goal machine Gary Hooper - under the noses of Hull City and Norwich. QPR chief Redknapp opened talks to land the prolific marksman last night as he looks to spend money on turning round his team. Redknapp has been tracking Hooper but did not have money to compete in the race until the imminent exit of Chris Samba. Hooper has been a target for Premier League pair Hull and Norwich but neither have put together the right fee and personal terms. Steve Bruce’s Tigers have only offered £5million in instalments while Norwich will pay the money to Celtic but are reluctant to pay Hooper’s personal terms. Rangers chief Redknapp has now come in with money that will be acceptable to the SPL champions and also a package that should tempt Hooper to London. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-celtic-striker-gary-hooper-2023851?
Anelka has been looking for a way back, we amongst others were linked in January, and Steve Clarke knows him from Chelsea. Couldn't agree more about Redmond SB, brilliant aquisition by Norwich. Really sensing we are missing out after being relegated at the worst possible time. Norwich has been very shrewd in the market so far and I expect clubs like Southampton etc. will be making good signings before the season kicks off. ------- If that is accurate Nines then I'll be very satisfied with our forward options.
Newcastle United are offered the chance to sign Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers, reports the Chronicle. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-look-set-snub-4872264?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Having missed out on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who joined Borussia Dortmund on Thursday, Remy was on a list of possible strike options but United are now looking at younger players - meaning that their fleeting interest in Wigan Athletic man Arouna Kone is also over. ??? Not sure what to make of that. Are we offering Remy around to potential clubs?
Newcastle wont sign anyone over 27. So a 26 yo is considered an old player for them while hed be embryonic for us. Its a good rule as is Arsenal only signing 30+ to players to one year deals.
Dam ............ Hopefully this can't be true. TF and Harry should lock him in a room and throw away the key, well, at least till the new season ............ If someone mentions his name, turn the music up and pretend to be dancing or whatever.
A player I would really like to see us try and sign is Adam Le Fondre. Would almost guarantee 20+ goals a season and probably cost a lot less in fee's and wages than Hooper.
I'd been thinking it was a bit of a hostage to fortune to be favourites to be promoted from the Champ, but on reflection, if potential incoming players believe this, we may get better quality, and Harry has money to spend if Samba goes for £12m.
