Anelka has been looking for a way back, we amongst others were linked in January, and Steve Clarke knows him from Chelsea. Couldn't agree more about Redmond SB, brilliant aquisition by Norwich. Really sensing we are missing out after being relegated at the worst possible time. Norwich has been very shrewd in the market so far and I expect clubs like Southampton etc. will be making good signings before the season kicks off. ------- If that is accurate Nines then I'll be very satisfied with our forward options.

Newcastle wont sign anyone over 27. So a 26 yo is considered an old player for them while hed be embryonic for us. Its a good rule as is Arsenal only signing 30+ to players to one year deals.

A player I would really like to see us try and sign is Adam Le Fondre. Would almost guarantee 20+ goals a season and probably cost a lot less in fee's and wages than Hooper.
I'd been thinking it was a bit of a hostage to fortune to be favourites to be promoted from the Champ, but on reflection, if potential incoming players believe this, we may get better quality, and Harry has money to spend if Samba goes for £12m.
