I was questioning your comment re being as happy to see Brown leave as you were to see Bates leave. You may not rate Brown but personally I'd rather have another season with Brown than one more year of Bates
Only way that would work would be to play him at CB & tell him to score against us! Roll on all those clean sheets as he impossibly clears certain goals from the goal line!

Nah, highly doubt Varney will be a main part of the team at all. I had more faith in Paynter than I do in Varney Personally I would get rid of Kenny, White, Norris, Diouf and Varney. I don't like Kenny, I've never really rated him as a keeper and he doesn't seem to respect Leeds fans too much. We are either gonna have to replace him this summer or next anyway and apparently there are talk of Federici who is a class goalie. White is poor and I think we just have to accept that. Only reason I'd get rid of Norris is because we have 3000 CMs of all average quality, even if offers came in for Tonge, Green or Brown I'd be considering them even if they're not particularly bad players. Fans seem blind to Diouf's behaviours imo. He is always moaning to refs constantly, I'm pretty sure he picked up around 3 or 4 yellows last season purely from non-footballing reasons. Take that away anyway I don't think he'll play a part and despite what people are saying he is on pretty high wages. In fact he is on one of the higher wages at the club.
Josh diouf really didn't moan at refs at all he won lots of fouls and his ability to get the ball in the box will be an asset if smith is gonna be playing
I'll refer you to my previous comment, fans seem to be blind to diouf's behaviours imo. Everytime I saw him play he was always in the ref's face moaning or throwing his hands at the floor because he didn't get a freekick. Thats all he does when he gets the ball, slows the game down and looks for a freekick. Very very rarely does he just pass the ball on. I don't rate him to be honest
I don't really think we need a striker. Everyone keeps going on about one but that certainly shouldn't be a priority now, we've signed two.
Depends on what formation we play. And I would still like a Somma-esque striker, because that'd be a nice selection of forwards then. It's definitely not as important as centre half/out wide though.

We badly need at least 2 wingers. I don't think Hall will get a look in so it's safe to say we have not one single first team winger at the club. Wingers the priority, then a centre half, pacey striker would be a bonus.
Don't disagree with you about Hall, however I wouldn't mind knowing why this chap hasn't been given a chance and why even with a new manager, he is nowhere to be seen?
